Rain poured down angrily, even the tall trees could not provide any shelter. It was so dark, it was impossible for human eyes to see anything around except when the lightning would cross the sky and brighten up the scene beneath. Running scared through the forest was a small woman. Her once flowing clothes were plastered against her body, as well as her long dark brown hair. The female was trying to follow a medium sized mutt to safety, but as the rain got harder it was getting increasingly difficult to follow the dog between the lightning strikes.
Jinan was getting weak and tired from running, but she knew she could not stop for very long. The dark skinned woman stopped behind a tree for a moment, placing her back flat against it, trying to catch her breath and stay silent. Dark green eyes peek around the tree to behind her, and sees two large outlines of men as the lightning brightens up the forest. They had seen her as well, so the woman started running again as fast as she could.
Jinan could no longer hear if the strange men who had been following her were still on the path, she slows down a little and looks around. The woman decides to change directions, and before she knows it is pulled into a large hole in a tree trunk. Once inside, the entrance is closed off from the pounding rain and danger on the outside. Jinan stays against the rounded walls, breathing heavily. What was this place and who had taken her? The person she saw did not look like the people who were after her, but she really had no idea.
In the middle of the rounded trunk room was a warm fire, whose flames created flickering light against the walls. Jinan started to breathe normally again, but stayed flat against the walls. Dark green eyes looked over to the person who may have saved her. “Who are you?” She asks quietly.

Damien studied the girl he had pulled in from the driving rain and from her persuers. She was pretty, he had to admit that. She had long brown hair and darker skin than most of the peoople he'd seen. Her intense green eyes seemed complimented by her hair framing her face and her slight frame have her a frail apperance, yet he knew better than to judge by appearences alone.
"I'm Damien," He said, and reached out to stir the pot hanging over the blazing fire. He idly set down the whetting stone he had been using to sharpen his sword and set it on his cloak folded in the corner. He had removed it to let it dry, and now was in a loose, black short sleeved shirt and warm pants, with heavy black boots. The fire flickered, illuminating the cavern a bit more before dying down a bit again.
"And who are you? Why were those men chasing you?" He asked, a bit curious. Not many people came into the forest, not even this close to the edge of the trees.

Jinan's rescuer had called himself Damien. Dark green eyes looked him over, studying his movements as the man set down his long sword. It wasn't very polite to stare for too long, so the caramel skinned woman looked away after a few moments.
It was silent for a couple minutes, besides the sounds from the fire and the fierce rain on the outside. "And who are you? Why were those men chasing you?" Jinan looked back over to the man in black. "I am Jinan.." The small woman said in a low voice. She was beginning to relax a little, and slid down to sit cross legged on the floor. "I'm not sure why those men are after me..." Jinan paused for a moment remembering back to when she first saw them interrogating her mother. "They want to take me back to where I came from, but I'm not sure what that means." The woman's dark green eyes looked into the flames.
"May I ask what you're doing out here in the forest?" Jinan looked into his eyes for a moment before looking away again. The fire was quite warm, and helped dry her clothes so they weren't as clingy. Jinan also moved her small bare feet closer to the flames to warm them up while waiting for an answer from the man.

Damien glanced sharply at the woman, Jinan, and his eyes flashed for a split second before he regained control of his emotions. He doubted Jinan would have seen it. He hesitated as she settled into a more relaxed position, more near to the warmth of the fire. He found it odd that she was barefoot, but chose not to mention it.
"I'm..."He began, choosing words carefully. "Searching. Running, maybe." He shifted, again stirring the pot hanging above the fire that would be ready in a half hour. The long, jagged scar that ripped down the entire length of his left arm glowed pale against his skin in the firelight. He was silent again for a moment, not about to dive into an explanation. That was the only one anyone ever got-searching and running.
"This just happened to be my campsite tonight." Damien listened intently for any sigh of the mon who had been chasing her, who were unoubtedly still searching the forest nearby. They ooked feirce, not the kind to give up a chase easily "You dont know what they mean that they 'want to take you back to where you came from'...Does that go to say you don't know where you came from?" He questioned. Maybe he could help her if he knew a bit more about her.

Searching and running.. Jinan thought to herself, rather vague, but she decided not to press him further. If he had wanted her to know more, he would have said more. The small female spreads her toes through the soft sand, as Damien stirred the pot. Dark green eyes look over his long scar, curiously wondering what it could be from.
After a few silent moments, the dark skinned female couldn't help but realize how tired she was, but wasn't sure how safe it would be to sleep here with a man she had just met and who had a long sword. Damien broke the silence with a question. "Well.. I thought I did, but my whole world changed when I came home to them questioning my mother." She stopped abruptly, not meaning to have told so much. "Theres a lot I don't know about yet.." Jinan ended quietly, looking down at her now dirt covered toes.

He listened to her answer, then abruptly stop, looking down. And she looked exhausted. Of course she would be, after running from men who probably intended to kill her and who were still searching for her. He knew the feeling. Damien wanted to question her farther, she was an interesting person, but he figured it could wait till later, or until morning.
"Here," He said, handing her a bowl of the Venison stew that was now finished cooking. "Eat. You look tired, and should rest. You can sleep, I won't kill you," He said, knowing that she had no reason to trust him at all. "I can keep watch. If whoever was chasing you comes i can take care of them." His mouth twitched up at the possibility of a fight. "Or I can hunt them down, if you prefer?" He questioned. Perhaps it would make her feel safer knowing that he wasn't in the room with her and that her persuers probably wouldn't find her.

The small woman gladly took the warm soup, and sipped it slowly until it was all gone. Her stomach was now full and warm, making her want to take a nap or sleep. It seemed as though Damien could see she was getting exhausted, and assured her that she’d be safe and even suggested leaving to make her more comfortable. Jinan really wasn’t very sure about trusting this man, but something very deep inside told her she could. “No no, you should stay.. Might be safer that way.” With that, the caramel skinned female set down her empty bowl and curled up on her side facing the still slightly burning fire. Slowly, her dark green eyes began to shut.
Almost immediately, her eyes snapped open again, but this time they were a pale red color. As the woman sat up, it would be obvious by the mannerisms that this was not the regular Jinan. The small body stood up and stretched, creating some cracking sounds. “It was very kind of you to save us Damien.” The eyes had turned to the man now, and spoke in a smooth voice that obviously didn’t belong to Jinan. “But I must ask for your help once again…” This strange being that seemed to have taken over Jinan took a couple steps closer to Damien, then paused waiting for any kind of response from him before continuing.
"You may have a lot of questions, just know that I have the answers that Jinan lacks." A small smile crept to the woman's lips.

Damien leaned back against the wall as Jinan began to sleep. She's assured him that he should stay, so he did, but wasn't planning on sleeping. Someone should keep watch, and he could handle not sleeping for more than just one night.
Then Jinan stood, her eyes no longer the green they once were, and instead a pale red. He clenched his teeth and made only the smallest movement towards his sword. He, for once, didn't want a fight. Not with the one he had just saved, and who he had no idea what her abilities were. He sared as she thanked him for saving them...And she had said "us," not "me." Was there two of them? Multiple personalities, maybe? But that didn't change eye color...
He listened to her request for his help and assurance that she had answers that apparently Jinan didn't... and he was sure this was the same Jinan, yet it couldn't be. This Jinan even spoke completely differently than the one he had pulled from the rain.
He hesitated for a moment, enthralled and a bit confused. Never had he seen someone like this before. "Very well," He said, hiding his uncertainty in his voice behind curiosity. Again, fought the urge to grab up his sword as she took a few steps closer. He tensed, ready to jump up, though looking outwardly calm. "What can I help with? And when can I ask you questions, to which you say you have the answers to?"

Pale red eyes watched the confusion, yet curiosity over the young man's face. Then looked down as he moved toward his long sword slightly. "You don't need to worry Damien, if I had wanted to hurt you I would have already." After a brief pause, she added: "I won't hurt Jinan either." Even if Jinan didn't realize that this man had found her a bit attractive, this person had clearly seen it. A kind smile went across her lips, reaching up to her eyes. This was clearly a different person from Jinan, even if they did look just like her. When Damien said he would help, the woman couldn't help but widen her smile showing Jinan's beautiful white teeth. "Wonderful, it might actually be better to start with your questions, as that might help explain what we need your help with." Sitting crossed legged, the female sat up straight with her hands folded in her lap eager to answer any questions the man had. After a few moments, there was a quiet whining a slight barking at the little trunk entrance. Jinan's body got up excitedly and went over to it, and opened it very slightly, just enough to let the small dog in and close it so no one on the outside could notice. As the dog jumped down from the entrance, it began to transform. When he landed, he was a full grown man with shaggy, matted sandy brown hair similar to what the dog had had. The new man and woman embraced each other, "This is Damien, he helped save us.." THe woman said indicating the man dressed in black. She shared a look with shaggy haired man, "He said he will try to help us." The two whispered something inaudible, then the man spoke, "Really?!" The woman nodded, then turned back to Damien. "This is my husband." Putting great emphasis on 'my', to make it clear this male was not Jinan's. The strange man sat across from Damien against the wall, while the strange "Jinan" woman sat between them facing Damien, ready to answer all the questions that were most likely swirling through his mind. ((OOC: Don't worry about the "shaggy haired man" too much, hes mostly just going to sit there listening/observing. Feel free to have Damien ask questions about him though ))

Damien wasn't sure if he should believe her when she said if she wanted to hurt hm she would have. He tried to relax, but found that quite impossible. It mde it harder when a small, sandy colored dog was let in and it transformed into a person. Heis eyes widened in a moment of shock. What the hell was going on? Jinan had said he was her husband, and made it perfectly clear that the Jinan he had rescued had nothing to do with him. They both sat across from him after she had told him he could ask whatever he wanted now, rather than wait until later. He nodded, still tense and ready to grab at his sword. She had said she wouldn't hurt him, but words didn't matter. He'd been betrayed enough in the past; he trusted no one. After a brief inspection of the newcomer, he motioned to the pot in the center of the rooom and the small bowl and sthingy beside it. "If you're , help yourself," he said, then turned to Jinan. "Okay. I only have three questions," He said to her. "What the hell is going on, how are you a completely different person than the person I saved, and yet stil the same, and what am I helping you with?" He glanced back at the man sitting near her, and spoke again. "okay, fiour questions. How can he turn into a dog?" He'd never before seen anything like this. One person was two people, and a man was a dog.
