Lent took a few drops of the Honey-ish liquid and returned it. She nodded in satisfaction. "That's fine, don't worry about it," She answered him. "I've taken it before, I know the effects of it." She scowled at the memory, the nightmares that had plagued her all night.
"You know, you were going to launch me into a tree," She told him, picking up her rag. She wrung it out and continued wiping her face clean, making a halfhearted attempt to clean her shirt, which she knew wouldn't work. If she had water...
"You're still damp from before," She said. "I'd bet a soak in the lake would make you...both of us..feel better too," She added. The water Had been quite warm. And it would possibly wash her shirt out, at least a little bit. She stretched her legs out from her cross-legged position slowly, grimacing a bit. Best to keep moving at least a little bit, keep the soreness at bay until bedtime.

Len nodded, the memory of the fight coming back to him. "It's surprising you dodged my knee, and good that you did, too. Usually, when I hit someone with my knee, I send them across the floor. As to the soak in the lake, I doubt I'm in much condition to do anything. After all, dream-honey only takes the pain away, not the injuries. Water won't affect bruises much unless it's cold, and it isn't. If anything, it's lukewarm at worst.

I dodged your knee?" She said, surprised. "I thought you got my pretty good. Almost knocked me out." She shook her head.
"So it's called Dream-honey." She stated. "I never knew what it was called. Makes sense, I guess." She looked at the glass vial curiously, not really sure where she got it from. She collected too many small, convenient things to remember where they all came from. "And if the lake is out of the question, then we should probably at least make it to the campsite. Everything we have is there, and the fire is dying."
Very slowly, she stood, inspecting herself. A few slight scratches, a lot of nasty purple bruises already showing. Soreness. She made a face-Sarora would probably not react to those too well. Then she shrugged-she didn't have to know where they came from, though she didn't quite know how she'd hide it, considering the dragon was literally in her mind. She'd find a way, though. At least, she hoped so.

Saira's face was legible. Then her actions confirmed it. Len looked over to her. "You wished a spar, which is a natural thing for a human to want. You also wished for me not to hold back. Though you've proven yourself better. If Sarora can't understand that you wanted to compare yourself with me, which I doubt, then I'm free to chew on, in her books."
Len then spat on the ground. "And I used to be the top of the class because of my knee... God, I haven't tasted bitter defeat in years." A change I rather dislike... ...especially since Saira's female. Perhaps it was the training difference... ...after all, I focussed more on the power of legs than anything else...

"I did, and I'm glad that you didn't hold back. Nor did I, which I can't say I've been able to do for a long time. At least against a human. And Sarora won't chew on you. Or eat you. Or..Well, anything to you." Saira responded. "She won't be happy. but she'll get over it soon enough."
She noted Len's bitter tone and frowned, hoping he wouldn't be too upset with her. "You know, I can teach you how to beat me," She told him. "You have an amazing fighting style. And with you being able to jump like you can...Well, it shouldn't take much, honestly."

Len shook his head. "I should fight on the same level as you, not above you. That was a law of equity I set upon myself. With my jumping, I would surely be able to take you down - but that, in your eyes, would be cheap. Guess that teaches me for taking such an ability for granted..." How the hell did she avoid my knee so easily, though? Then a small flashback hit him.
You need to be able to find resolve in order to be able to fight to your best. Without it, your opponent will beat you senseless every single time.
Of course! I had too much to be afraid of! I didn't want to severely hurt Saira, and so I wouldn't be able to claim victory, and I never will because I'm too afraid of accidentally killing her...

"Well, either way, none of us are broken, or dead, so that's good. It shouldn't matter who fights above who." She shyly leaned in and kissed him, then sat by the fire.
"We can do more about it when we both don't hurt so much," She suggested, taking a piece of the egg bear that had cooked and nibbling it It was better than she thought it would be. She blinked a few times-Len's knee was going to leave a bruise on her face.
"You should spar against Sarora," She said. "I don't think it's actually possible to beat a dragon, but you could get some awesome skills from it, and your jumping would make it an interesting thing to watch," she said with a grin. She thought about her own training and ate more of the skewered meat.

Len shook his head. "No, it's very possible to defeat a dragon. Hard as hell, mind you, but it is possible. You only have to go after the eyes; they're the only weakness you can really exploit, unless you had the right metal - but that metal is something in legend. I doubt it'll appear anytime soon. We both know that dragons would fight to their last, and I have no intention of making a day-long fight occur, let alone a three-day-long fight, so I have to refuse."
Most of the oldies had to take three full days at it. Some of the others took a straight week...

Saira shrugged, mostly unconvinced. She suspected Sarora could fight far longer than three days-in fact, she knew she could. She'd seen it done before, back when she fought for her right to stay with the rest of the dragons after the dragon adopted her. She'd gone for what seemed like forever, and that'd been against other dragons-lots of them.
Saira yawned and leaned against a tree, staring into the flames, somewhat curious about the metal he'd spoken of. "What metal is that?" She asked after a moment.

Len looked over, having read the disbelief clearly. Then she drove a question to avoid the topic. "I'd have to check the exact name of it. I think it's Damascus, or Orichalon, or something like that. As to the whole 1-3 days, that's usually the turning point. The last blow can happen from either side, and the other usually escapes with only one nice heap of exhaustion. As far as I know of, anyways. I've only heard talk of it, myself." Personally, it makes me wonder, sometimes.

"neither name rings a bell," She said. "Then again, I probably have never heard of it anyways, so it wouldn't matter." She thought back- Sarora had never mentioned anything like it either. She nodded at his next statement, but said nothing. She yawned again. "I'm tired," She said after a pause. "You wore me out." She grinned. "The Eggbear is cooked by the fire still if you're , and there is still fresh water. I'm going to go to sleep now though, if you've no objections." She grimaced as she crawled into the tree-cave and curled up in the back. Waking up would be torture in the morning, after her muscles had time to tighten and get ore, but she ignored that fact. I hope Len gets okay sleep tonight, She thought to herself, remembering the dream-honey's side effects.

Len nodded to Saira. "You might need what sleep you can get; and we might want to sleep kinda apart - last time I had nasty nightmares, I knocked a hole in the wall." And then we went over to the leftovers, taking a few hunks, and skewering them onto another stick. then he ate them like shish-kabobs. That, and the other guy that was around ended up with one bruise on the centre of his chest. ((FF, why do you complain about spelling?))

She frowned from inside the cavern-ish tree. "I'm a light sleeper. I'd likely wake up before it got that far along," She said. Most anything could wake her-it was handy at times. "Bu I guess if you really think it would be better..."
She propped herself up on her elbows. "But I don't want you to have to go through the nightmares completely alone.."
((Who's complaining about spelling??))

"Ah, lucky you. I can only be awoken by unexpected resistance or movement involving myself. Light rarely wakes me anymore, and sound definitely doesn't. Sometimes, though, people sneaking up on me will also wake me up. It really changes, and it's weird. As to the nightmares, I doubt they'll be much worse than I've had before. Usually, they're not all that bad."

Saira blinked. She remembered the nightmares as being bad. Very bad. Bad enough to make her give up on sleeping and sit awake the rest of the night.
"People sneaking up on me wakes Sarora, not me, unfortunately. I'm trying to train myself to wake, but it's far harder than it seems." She grinned. "But I'm working on it." She again curled up. "If you need any more of the dream-honey stuff, all you have to do is say something, okay?" she told him.
