Name: Talwyn "Tal" Greyoak
Age: 23
Race: 1/3 Human, 1/3 Golem and 1/3 lesser demon
Physical Description:
While he retained his original shape, his looks where changed when he was transformed into what he is today. His skin is a blueish color, and his wire-like hair is of a blueish purple color. Not only that, but due to being part golem, his skin is outlined with stone and rock. Naturally, this also makes him quite heavy (one of his friends even entertained the idea of using him as an anchor once) and the only reason he can still move like a regular human being is the extra strength granted to him by his demon part.
He doesn't wear any armor, as his skin is strong enough to take most blows. For clothing, he wears a long sleeved shirt with matching pants and a long mantle with a cowl, all of a color in between ecru and tan. His gloves don't have fingertips and are of a slightly darker color then his shirt.
Tied to his brown belt, is a simple scabbard for his double edged bastard sword. The blade is short enough to allow a person to wield it with one hand, but the handle is long enough to easily wield it with both hands.
Personality:
While not an unfriendly person once you get to know him, he will often come of as arrogant and distant. He is obsessed with finding a way to undo his "curse", and will go to great lengths for this which is also his most glaring weakness. Even the slightest rumor of a cure can cause him to forget about everything else, including his own safety.
He does tend to look after his own needs before those of his friends, because how could their problems be worse then his? This is of course, due to his obsession with finding a cure.
He also tends to avoid strangers as much as possible because most people tend to be frightened by his appearance.
History:
Born and raised in a small village near Tamasha, he was always out playing adventures and while fighting off hordes of demons with his friends they always managed to defeat them in time for dinner.
At the age of 14 he left the village to find real adventures and joined a small band of adventurers that passed by. It was from one of them that he learned how to fight with a sword.
He had several adventures this way but none where really dangerous. Still, he liked his new companions and while all the walking was tiresome, he loved seeing new places.
His luck changed at the age of 16 however. While protecting a village from bandits, things went wrong. The band was much larger then they had been told and Tal and his friends, as well as the villagers, got decimated when they tried to put up a fight.
Tal was the only survivor, and only because he had been knocked unconscious early in the fight. Furious, Tal cursed his strength and wished he had been more powerful. He started training like a madman, practicing every day until he dropped down from exhaustion all the while cursing his own weakness.
It was then that he met Anexar Bluewind, a powerful mage. Anexar decided to grant Talwyn's wish of power if Tal would agree to aid him and Tal, hungering for power as he was right then, accepted.
He joined Anexar and learned shamanic magic while traveling with him. Impatient as he was however, it wasn't enough. He wanted more. As always however, the saying "Be careful what you wish for" proved to be all to true. Anexar told him there was a way to make him stronger quickly. Again, without a second thought, Tal told Anexar to do it. The next moment, he was squirming in pain until he passed out.
When he came to, he discovered what Anexar had done. Confronting the mage, he ordered him to change him back. Anexar refused, he had upheld his part of the deal and made Tal stronger just like he had promised.
A deal was a deal and Tal did have his honor, so he served Anexar. Traveling the lands in search of magical items, he eventually learned Anexar true goals namely the resurrection of a powerful demon.
He managed to put a stop to this, but he failed to kill Anexar. He barely got out with his life. So, now he is traveling the lands in search of clues to turn him back to normal. Of course, if he can find a way to gain enough strength to kill Anexar along the way, all the better!
