A doe stood, elegant and beautiful. She grazed silently, her fawn playing by her side. They stood near the ridge, but were completely oblivious to the danger. The mother doe had grown up on the ridge, and the fawn was destined to grow up on the ridge, as future generations would too. She raised her head, feeling a deep sense of dread creep across her skin like mist. Her head swiveled in all directions, her fawn had gone completely still. A deep, menacing growl was heard from the woods surrounding them. They were off, mother and fawn tearing away from the danger.
Cassenova cursed to herself, she had stepped on a twig and scared her dinner away. "Curse my big paws." She muttered, looking down at the purple scaled claws. The dragoness looked past her claws to the twig that she thought had been the undoing of her hunt. But, the twig was not broken. Her brows furrowed as she looked around, extending the blades on her tail. The forest was quiet, more so than it should have been. Her brown eyes scanned the ridge, looking for anything unfamiliar. Suddenly, as fast as they had gone quiet, the birds started their sweet songs again. It was as if the forest had held it's breath, watching her hunt. She knew that she was close and connected to the forest, but not as such she didn't think. Of course, she was a relatively young dragon, two hundred years young but she was still old enough to know that something was up.
She sheathed the blades back into the pink hair on the end of her tail, tucking her wings in close to her body at the same time. Cassenova relaxed, but not by much. She still kept her senses open to her surroundings. A crow had landed on her straight horns, with a growl she shook it off. It flew off, startled and cawing loudly. She liked natures birds, but she would not be used as a perch, especially not her horns. Straight or curled. Cassenova yawned, it was getting too late to go hunting again, another dinnerless night. "I hope I can find something in the morning." She mumbled, finding a good, sheltered spot under a Weeping Willow tree to spend the night. She half slept, still keeping her senses open to the forest surrounding her.

Vargim had been quietly making his way through the forest himself, following the tracks of the very same doe Cassenova had been hunting; Though he was unaware of Cassenova's presence. Stalking just a few paces to Vargim's right, was his companion Kishri, the aged cougar making no more noise than her fur brushing against the leaves of brush and saplings. Vargim paused abruptly as he caught sight of the doe and her fawn sprinting off post haste and let a dejected whisper of a sigh pass his lips, sinking down to rest against a rather large oak while Kishri padded over, no longer bothering to keep silent.
Kishri's ears perked quickly as she swiveled about, no more than a few paces from Vargim's feet, and let a low growl pass her maw at the strange voice, each hair standing on end. Vargim came to one knee just as quickly as Kishri could turn, and planted a firm hand at the back of her neck, whispering quietly.
"Hush Kishri... And stay here." Vargim turned to look at his companion as she quieted her growls, though she remained vividly tense and kept her eyes on the brush ahead. Clearly she had caught scent of something he could not.
Slowly rising to a crouched position, Vargim took a few paces into the brush and parted the leaves, only to find a dragon standing no more than fifteen paces away. Vargim's teeth clenched as he fought to silence even the slightest sound that might escape him and slowly began to withdraw.
"Fabulous... from hunter to hunted." He muttered as he sank back down beside his companion, placing his hand atop her muzzle to calm and quiet her breaths. With any luck, he would not be noticed, though it was rather unlikely thanks to Kishri's previous display.

Lucine was headed through the forest, she had nothing to do today and decided just to have a little peace and quiet. She could hear the birds, bugs, and the sound the the coold breeze rushing through the trees. It felt nice on her the half of her face that was bare. She peered through her armor and into the quiet forest. Such a lovely place. She took in a deep breath of air and let it out, smiling. She looked to her left and saw a doe and fawn running past her at an incredible speed, they must've been scared by something. She looked ahead and wondered what it could have been. Curiosity may have killed the cat...but it must've been a dumb cat. She shapeshifted into her usuall fox appearance and leapt into the forest.
She kept her nose high for she was picking up a scent with her keep nose. They were smells she'd never encountered before and now she was more curious than ever. She picked up her pace and ran as fast as she could. She didn't want to miss anything epic, now did she? There were three, one smelt like a lion. The other two she didn't recognize. Lucine lept into a bush quite noisily close to where the three were. She peered out to behold a dragon. A...purple dragon. Strange, but she could transform into this creature at any time. No problem in encountering one.
"Cool...heehee." She thought. She was interested already. The other presences she did not see, they must be hiding too. Maybe he was here for the dragon...but why? Lucine just sat there quietly waiting intently to see what was going to happen next. Here she was again getting herself into more trouble. She loved trouble that she did. Lucine just wanted to know what was up.

Cassenova, upon hearing the growl in her sleep, raised her head. Her ears perked, and she listened to the forest around her. She caught soft whisperings close by, followed by the quiet sounds of earth under feet. Cassenova growled warningly into the forest around her. The last thing she wanted was to be attacked right now. She was , tired, and angry, not a good mix for a dragon. After a few moments of hearing nothing but the sound of the forest, Cassenova shook softly and tilted her head down, out of the forage of the trees. She listened again, primal instinct to check twice. She heard it again, a soft whisper. She walked just a few steps forward, coming to stand right next to the duo. That's when she smelt them and turned to them, turning her back away. Not that they scared her or anything, they just... surprised her. Her lips curled back over her sharp, white teeth. She crouched, all of this in the span of a few seconds. Cassenova stared at the two for a moment, deducting that even if they wanted to, they couldn't harm her too awfully bad. Her posture automatically straightened from one of fright to one of caution. She still regarded them with wary eyes, but she was no longer threatening. "Who are you?" She asked, a heavy draconian accent on her speech. Cassenova had just learned the language of the humans some months ago, though she couldn't even tell from her distance if he was human or not. She regarded the cougar with a tad bit more caution, cats had sharp teeth, she doubted that he had sharpened teeth. She swished her tail, making sure that her blades were quickly accessible. Just in case it did come to a fight, which she dearly hoped that it wouldn't. She looked up, too many branches, she wouldn't be able to fly out, though she could always run straight back to the ridge if needed. Cassenova doubted he would jump off after her. All the ways she could escape were running through her mind, but so were techniques to fight as well.

Lucine noted her every move wondering if what she was up to and what she was going to do. The dragon raised her head and looked around, she was listening to Lucine and the other's every move. Lucine listened for a moment too. She could hear two creatures breathing. One was muffled, but they were both very close. Lucine wanted so much to confront this creature, but she just waited for the right time. The dragon moved closer to Lucine's bush, she looked suprised. Not a good thing for a dragon to be. Lucine knew that. She was cautious and stiff. Lucine needed to be weary of this creature. She had not clue what it was capable of or what the situation was. The dragon then spoke in a famanine voice and a heavy draconian accent. It continued to look around. Lucine decided to reveal herself.
"My name is Lucine, Lucy for short it you like." She said as she walked out of the bushes and shapeshifted into a dragon as well. It was black with a redish tint to it. Thin and slender, a great deal femanine looking. Anyone could tell. She walked around the other dragon until she was on it's side, just so she wasn't in it's face. Lucine turned so they were facing the same direction. She looked to where she'd thought the other visitor had been standing. She sniffed the air and was very weary for she did not know what would happen next. She had no clue whether this dragon was going to attack or accept her. One thing is her identity as a shapeshifter was already revealed and that might have scared this dragon.
"I was just curious so I came this way. Hope I haven't caused any trouble." Lucine told her. Her eyes ran along the width of the other dragon judging her as competition if need so. She looked to be of equal weight and size as Lucine was. But of course, Lucine could always shapeshift into something bigger or summon something to help her anytime she wished. Lucine looked around and waited for the Dragon's reply beging carefull that her eyes didn't stray too far incase she may need to defend herself.

Cassenova jumped softly when Lucine came into the clearing, she hadn't noticed that the other shape-shifter was there. But she wasn't going to let her know that. She turned her back away, so it faced neither of her unexpected guests. Was it just her, or was this ridge getting more populated by the second? She remembered years ago that she was one of the only inhabitants, besides for the wildlife. But then she thought, some ignorant thought that dragons were mere wildlife as well. Wasn't he surprised when the gained a Draconian council member. She blinked, she couldn't get distracted now, not with feeble thoughts. "Cassenova." Cassie replied, weighing up Lucy as she had Cassenova. She didn't seem big, but she was a shape-shifter, she could get bigger. Cass had one advantage, nobody knew of her own shape-shifting abilities quite yet. She kept checks on both of the parties, the human and his cat seemed to be keeping to themselves, not wanting to get involved. The shape-shifter, Lucine, just seemed to be curious. She still kept her mind keen, looking ahead to what she could do, where the weaknesses were, where the strengths were. A sharp thrust of her paw could send dirt into the air, giving her enough time to escape. If they moved first, a swing of her tail could distract them, the sun usually glinted blindingly bright off of the pink hair. "Well, it seems that none of us wants trouble for the other... But I am not the only dragon living on this ridge right now." She started, remembering the alpha male of the ridge. He was a mean old beast, he only let her stay because she was female. He didn't know about her shape-shifting abilities either, otherwise he'd chase her off too. Cassenova looked to the other two, should she lead them away from the old dragon, or should she leave them be...? "I'm too nice..." She muttered to herself. "If you value your lives, you should follow me. There's a big male that lives here, and he does not take kindly to strangers." Cassie said, she didn't want to turn her back to the strangers, but there was no other choice. She turned away from the cave where he lived and looked back to see if the others were following.
