Name: Eltana Malgrace
Age: 453
Race: Human (mutated)
Class: Necromancer; former priest
Physical Description:
Physical Appearance: Eltana has a very feminine body build, and can easily be mistaken for a woman; he was not born with this appearance, however, and how he was transformed into this is explained further below. His exterior, unlike his interior, is quite beautiful: his hair is a long, silky black; his skin a ghostly snow white. He has soft, smooth facial features and enchanting light brown eyes.
Clothing Style: His usual attire consists of robes; in fact, he's never seen in anything other than his strangely feminine, dress-like robes. They're thin, darkly colored garments--usually a combination of violet and black--that flow down to the ground and leave his shoulders exposed; despite being fairly tight, they're loose around the bottom and at the sleeves. When desiring to look especially lovely, he wears a variation of the usual attire: a crimson robe lined with golden silks and decorated with elaborate black vine designs. Most noticeable about Eltana's appearance would have to be the long purple ribbon he always wears in his hair.
Personality: Eltana is, simply put, a very horrible and demented individual without any redeeming qualities. His mind is plagued by a multitude of personality disorders, most notably megalomania, sadism, sociopathy, and a slight degree of gender confusion. He is also capable of violent and unpredictable mood swings.
He considers himself a member of the ultimate elite, and takes a sadistic pleasure in causing pain and suffering to the less fortunate; because of his wealth and status he believes he's above the 'common people', and uses this as an excuse to treat them like dirt.
Eltana is also completely ruthless, unscrupulous person: because he is unable to empathize with the troubles and feelings with others, he has no problem with causing them pain and throwing their lives away to further his own selfish aims.
Abilities: What Eltana lacks in physical strength he makes up in his magical prowess. He is a very formidable necromancer capable of many of the standard dark magical spells, along with a few unique ones. Below are some of his more notable skills:
Teleportation: He is capable of teleporting up to several miles at a time. Because this takes quite a bit of energy he can only do it once or twice a day; however, if the distance he teleports is tall, he can do it more often.
Demon Summoning: Eltana is able to summon a variety of dark minions from other realms. There are many methods of summoning these creatures: he can summon them with a few moments of concentration and an incantation or two, but these would be wimpy and easily defeatable; the more time he has to summon, the stronger the creature will be. The strongest demons are summoned through long and complicated ceremonies, most of which requiring human sacrifice.
Mind Deconstruction: He can rob the demons he summons of their mind, reducing them to conscious-less puppets. This ability is only necessary for advanced demons capable of logic, and does not work on people.
Life-Prolonging Ceremony: Although the details of how Eltana has been keeping himself alive for hundreds of years are mostly unknown, it is highly probable that it is a ceremony that requires an intermediate amount of human lives.
Other notable abilities include psychokinesis and levitation.
History: Eltana was born into a considerably wealthy family in a large village; this family was of priestly descent and strictly adhered to their practices and values. His parents were in their fifties at the time of his birth and lead the local monastery, also serving as the town's leaders. He had a sibling named Nikanoru who was around fourteen at the time of his birth; the two were nearly inseparable, doing almost everything together. Because of the great age difference between him and his actual father, Nikanoru became more of a surrogate father than an older brother.
He had quite a happy childhood: because of his parent's status and wealth, he enjoyed popularity and was given anything he could possibly desire. His parents coddled and adored him, believing him to be their precious little angel. Eltana attended a small academy and eventually went on to train to become a priest under one of his father's friends.
Unfortunately, his nearly perfect life took a turn for the worse shortly after his tenth birthday: Nikanoru was presumably killed after dabbling in the dark art of necromancy; no body could be recovered, but several people witnessed him vanishing into pure darkness after attempting a botched spell. Needless to say the art of necromancy was frowned upon by the community, and the late Nikanoru's reputation was tarnished; fortunately, they did not hold his actions against the family and continued to respect them. Eltana, who idolized his brother, hated that his 'friends' and neighbors scorned Nikanoru and grew to resent them. If his brother practiced necromancy, he thought, it was probably a very promising field, and his brother would want him to continue his work and master it. Eltana began to practice necromancy in secrecy, learning from his brother's old notes and tomes.
Some time passed and his parents passed away from illness. Eltana, who was twenty-five at the time of his parents untimely demise, was appointed as the head of the monetary; he was young, yes, but proved himself to be a very capable person. Unbeknownst to the public, however, Eltana was slowly but surely becoming a very skilled necromancer and still hated them for belittling his brother and had ulterior motives in mind when he accepted the job.
Several years after becoming the head priest, Eltana began to carry out his plan for revenge: he hired a group of mercenaries from a distant land to dress up as guards from a neighboring village and slaughter everyone within his town's academy. The disguised mercenaries carried out their job and returned to whence they came, leaving the public in a state of hysteria and sorrow. This despicable action left the people thirsting for vengeance; they spontaneously attacked the neighboring town, inciting a war.
The war carried on for about a year; during this time the populations of each city were greatly diminished, and they fell victim to barbarians and marauders before a truce could be reached. Before Eltana's hometown was destroyed, he fled with what remained of his family's fortune and left the people he so passionately hated to their doom. Most of what Eltana did following his abandonment is unknown, except that he secluded himself in an unknown location for about twenty years before joining a small group of necromancers.
However, Eltana would soon learn that necromancy was frowned upon for a reason: it distorted his appearance and turned him into something that was neither a man nor woman. His body, once muscular and tan, became abnormally frail and pale; his hair, long and blond, was now as black as the night sky. This was the least of his problems, though: his extensive use of dark magic completely shattered his mind and transformed him into a psychopath.
Not much is known about his activities during the next three hundred years, save for the facts that he was traveling around the world to gain more knowledge and gathering a small group of followers. About twenty years ago he bought an expansive mansion in Tamasha and currently resides there.
