Inside the gates of Tamasha, an unfamiliar figure walked in today. She had stark, silver hair, accented by a green bandanna. Her blue eyes calmly looked over the stalls as she walked past. It wasn't clear what the woman was searching for, she was probably just window shopping. In such a crowd, it would have been difficult to tell that this beautiful, short woman was actually an elf. As she appeared now, with her bandanna covering the tops of her pointed ears, she seemed like a 19-year old Human girl, with a blade on her hip, and an unstrung bow and quiver upon her back. Her clothes, black and green leathers with a black cloak, were of Human design. They were itchy, but she didn't care. As long as it made her fit in. She came to a stop at a jeweler's store and smiled softly at the owner. He was a portly man, graying at the temples. He looked to her with a questioning gaze. "Are you buying?" She asked, trying to keep her smile. "Depends on what yer sellin', little lady." He wasn't expecting much. She nodded and took a small, golden chain from her pocket, setting it in his hand. He studied it for a minute... "This ain't human." "Does it have to be?" He looked at her... "I ain't no fence, lass." "It isn't stolen." She shot back. He looked into her eyes, fearful that he had upset her. "R-Right..." Not many men with little confidence could hold up to the gaze of the elves. "Well... Where is it from, exactly?" "I found it upon a Dark Elvish bandit." That made his gaze come up, "From where it came before that? I cannot say." He looked to the chain... He pursed his lips. "I swear that it isn't stolen." He nodded to her... "Fourty five gold pieces." "Deal." She knew he was offering her a raw deal. She didn't really care, though. She didn't have that bad of a need for money. -------------- Later that day, the young woman would be seen walking the lines of the walls, eating a loaf of bread, the inside filled with cheese. She leaned against the wall, looking up at the cloudy sky as she ate, simply thinking as she did so.

[navy]"Who was that Herold?" A voice asked. The large man behind the counter goes to the door, locks it, and flips the open sign to closed. "Not sure Twich. She must be new to the city." Herold answered. "What was with all the questions?" The voice asked. "Wat did she sell ya anyway?...Anything good?" Herold held the small chain in his hand and the sun from an open window shined upon it. It gleamed like a star in the night. "Not sure but it sure as hell ain't human. She said she got it off a." Harold gulped. " A dark elf bandit. And you don't just go asking for stuff from a bandit of any kind, specially not a dark elf." The source of the of the voice stepped from the shadows of the shop. A short man in a blue cloak with a silver trim. "Well then she must have some talent after all. Let me see it." Harold throws the chain to Twichey. "Glad to be rid of the thing, gives me the creeps." Twichey catches the chain and gives it a quick glance. "Well its shinny thats for sure." Twichey stuffs it into his hip pouch and goes out the back door of the jeweler into the alley. "Hes a strange one that Twichey." Harold stated as he reopened the shop.[/navy]

Azuri decided to stroll around the bustling village. She had no intention of doing much of anything. So she wasn't watching where she was going when she slammed right into Twichey. "Oh.... hey Twichey! Sorry 'bout that." Azuri said, giving him the brightest smile she could. "Haven't seen you in much of a while. Anything weird happen lately?" Suddenly she felt something, like a slamming hammer on her mind. That could only mean one thing... As a young elf, she had been taught to know when she was around another elf outside of the city, in case of an emergency. Azuri tried to contact the other elf, to find out who he or she was, but to no avail. So instead she turned her attention back to Twichey. Suddenly, she got that strange, alien feeling in her stomach again. "What is that?" She wondered. She tried to think of a reason for it. But she couldn't.
Trying her best to ignore it, she listened for Twichey's response.

Korlina felt the tingling in her mind of someone trying to contact her... But she had never felt such a sensation before. She jumped up, taking the rest of the loaf of bread into her mouth. She looked around.... And quickly rushed back into the town, using the alleys' shadows as a recluse. It was one of the only places she felt safe in new places.
She wasn't in the alley where the other two conversed, but it would be possible for Azuri to tell that the elf had gotten closer.

[navy]As Twichey exited the jewelers he was in his own world asking himself so many questions about the newcomer and her jewelry when he ran Slammed into the knees of Azuri a friend of his. Rubbing his head he answered her. "Why hello miss Azuri. Its a pleasure Bumping into you" He chuckled as he stressed the word "Bumping". He saw her give her famous almost unnatural smile. He had grown to like her as a Friend not man could he trust but he had seen that she posed no threat and she had helped hide him in the past.
Then he saw something ells. Though she was smiling she seamed many miles away. "Azuri? Something wrong?" She came back to reality and asked him a question that perked his interest. Why yes something odd has happened. I assume it may even have something to do with our ..ahem.. distance." He replied with a smirk. "A girl, new to town, was just ...well lets just say I saw her hear and There." He couldn't give away all of his hiding places even to his friends, least someone come looking for him. No need for unnecessary bloodshed.
Seeing as how your an elf yourself." Twichey removed the chain from his pouch, and slipped it into her hands. "Does this ring any bells of places or races? In my opinion it is elvish but there are so many clans i cant tell even with my extensive research."[/navy]

Azuri gasped. "It is indeed elvish. That chain once belonged to a Dark Elvish bandit. His name, I know not. But how..." Azuri's voice trailed off. The elf, who she could now sense better, was a lady. "Please, Twichey, excuse me for a moment." With that, she sat against the wall, closed her eyes, and concentrated hard. After what was probably about twenty seconds, she was able to contact the elf. Her mind was still guarded, but Azuri could still break in, because she was closer. The moment she was in the elf's mind, Azuri knew a lot more. This elven girl had grown up somewhere in Selkia Forest with loving parents and sisters, and when she was 100, decided to leave. She watched her niece be born, the left, possibly forever. "Hmm..." Azuri felt the girl's immense fear. "Do not be afraid, Korlina Silversong. I am Azuri, Lady of a secret elven town. My surname is never to be known unless you gain my sincere trust. Would you care to tell me how you got a golden chain from a Dark bandit? Just think your answer, I will hear it." Azuri was very careful in keeping her call quiet as to not scare Korlina. She could feel Twichey nearby, asking what she was up to. She ignored him for the time being, but smiled to let him know she was fine.
"Well, Korlina, your answer?"

Korlina drew a dirk, the blade long and curved. Her mind raced with fear... It was painfully obvious that if any magician meant her harm, she would be completely defenseless against mental attacks. Her eyes turned from shadow to shadow... Until she finally listened to the voice in her head. The fear inside of her only grew.
Her thoughts came in the language of the Elves. If you are truly what you say you are then you will understand this... I do not take lightly to such invasion. Show yourself! However, her mind could not help but think of how she got the chain.
[The following scene is in Korlina's mind, easily readable by Azuri] The mud made Korlina's boots slick, and the rain kept coming. She knew her opponent was still around here. The mud mixed the foul blood of the dark elf into the earth, making tracking her hard. Korlina looked around each tree and stone, peeking around just enough to where she was able to see the dark elf witch, clad in man's clothing. She was pulling out an arrow from her arm and having a tough time. Pity almost touched Korlina's mind as she drew back the string of her elvish bow.
Korlina leaned against the wall, the mental link fatiguing her greatly. She didn't approve, and she began cutting at shadows, her fear and anger present in her mind and body.
The arrow let fly, right into the Dark Elf's throat. Her cry was silenced by the arrow, her eyes turning to her killer. It was a mercy killing. Korlina knew that the witch deserved far less. She walked to the dieing witch, taking her blade from her hip. The Dark Elf was pleading with Kor in her own language, her voice desperate and her eyes pleading... However, the feel of a magic spell wasn't known to Korlina, and the Witch's spell was upon her before Korlina could silence her voice entirely. The spell was cast incorrectly. Had the spell succeeded, Korlina would have been dead in a matter of days. The next memory...
Kor's mind suddenly went blank as she realized what, exactly, her mind just revealed about her.
I know not what you seek, demon, but you'll not find it here! I deny you!!

Azuri withdrew form the contact. "Demon?" She yelled. "DEMON???!! I am not a demon! I am La-" she stopped as she saw Twichey staring at her. Despite their friendship, Azuri didn't want Twichey knowing she was royalty, for she didn't want him to treat her special, although she doubted he would anyways. Azuri was furious. She knew she was more powerful then Korlina, she did the first thing that came to her mind: A mental attack. Azuri almost never unleashed a mental attack, for she never needed to, and they were very powerful. Concentrating very, very hard, she unleashed a mental attack. Barging back into the girl's mind she shouted, "That will teach you to call Lady Azuri a demon!" Then she came back into herself. She instantly felt a wave of guilt. "Oh, Twichey, what have I done?"

Fire burst into Korlina's head. She gave a loud, agonized scream of pain as her mind was suddenly and brutally wracked by the noble's attack. The attack was so driven on anger, so undefended against, that nerves were separated Korlina's cry was cut short as she forgot how to speak... How to scream. She crumpled down on the ground, narrowly avoiding falling upon her own knife. Her eyes, glazed and pale rolled back into her head.
The scream of the woman caught a guard's attention. He rushed to the girl's side, checking her throat for a pulse... There was a feint sliver of one. He stood, raising his blade and looking around. Pulling the horn from his belt, he threw four deep blasts into the sky. Someone had attempted murder within Tamasha. In heartbeats, the Church was notified and the gates were closed, barred, and guarded. None of the guard knew who or what happened to whom, but they didn't pride themselves on letting criminals escape.

Azuri paniced. "F-four blasts? T-that means... Oh, no I-I didn't..." Azuri started to cry. She had been stupid, very, very stupid. She looked the other way, not wanting Twichey to see her face. "I didn't try to kill her! But... maybe I can still do something!" She knew where Korlina was and took off in that direction, dropping the golden chain on the ground. Within minutes she saw the elf's face, silver hair tied back, crouched on the ground. A crowd was starting to gather. Azuri pushed her way through it. As soon as she saw Korlina she bent down, touched her shoulder, and stated the words for healing the effects of a mental attack. Minutes passed, and nothing happened. Then, finally Azuri heard a groan from the elf. She was so relieved. A guard barged through the crowd while Azuri helped Korlina to her feet. "Who is responsible for this!? Speak up now!" Azuri gulped. "I... I did, sir. It was an accident, I let my anger get the be-" She was cut short. "Enough! Accident or not, you attempted murder!" "I did not!" "Come with me." "But..." "NOW!"

[navy]Twichey herd the four blasts from a guards horn, it sent shivers down his spine. He was all to familiar of this occasion. "Kill her? What did you do exactly?"Twichey exclaimed. He then herd a blood chilling cry from a fair distance away. Azuri dropped the chain and dashed toward the sound. Scooping up the chain he tucked it into his pouch and dashed after her. He let himself fall behind a bit as he saw the large crowd.
He climbed up to the top of a roof and watched the Sean unfold. Twichey scanned his surroundings and realized he was only a few hundred yards from his hideout. He knew what he had to do to save them all. "Pleas be with me my dark master". Twichey murmured as he slipped a few black bottles from his bag. He kissed them and wished for the best.
He threw the bottles in random places throughout the crowd. As he slipped on his facial mask which prevented from gas inhalation he waited for the bottles to do their work. The bottles hit the stone ground and shattered without a problem. Black smoke arose from the remains of glass and began to fill the air. The crowd screamed and chaos ensued as the miasma took affect. Visions of demons and fire chasing them around filled their minds. "Time to go to work" Twichey said as one of his rare grins slid up his cheek.
He leaped from the building-top and landed upon the guards head that was standing in front of Azuri and the other girl. He threw Azuri a rag and tied one around the other girls mouth and nose as to lower the affect of the miasma. "wrap it around your mouth and nose Azuri" He said through his mask. "Grab her" he said pointing at the girl. "carry her as best you can and follow me" Twichey began to run down the alley nearest to him and slowed a bit so Azuri could get closer.[/navy]Miasma is like a gas or poison. just if you dont know -

Korlina was completely unresponsive. She was unconscious for the most part, but she was very light. As time went on, her pulse became slightly stronger, her breathing more regular.
{OOC} Sorry for the long wait. For some reason, the board didn't take my last post.
