Raine blinked at this and looked to him.
"But the closest exit is in the south, We'd have to turn around and go back the way we came...I thought you wanted to get out of here fast..." She was confused why he was so determined to be with her.
Doesn't he also want to leave? Isn't he afraid of the demons?

Renkhal smiled at her.
"I want to make sure you are safe, and if that means taking the long way I'm okay with it," he told her. He stopped and looked back. "Well, if we need to go the other way, let's get going. It'd probably be best if we were further north than we started by midday, then."

She looked over at him, a blush formed on her cheeks. She quickly looked away and stopped as well, turning around. "I guess, if you are okay with it. Sorry to drag you into this mess I am in."

"Don't worry about it," he told her, smiling. "I'm choosing to help you."

Raine nodded and they continued to walk for the rest of the day. It was uneventful and when nightfall came, they were a good distance North. Raine rubbed her eyes and yawned softly.
"Should we stop for the night and get some rest now?" she asked.

Renkhal looked around and nodded; this should be a fairly safe area, so long as they were careful. He was a light sleeper anymore anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue, but he had been known to fall into a deep sleep every once in a while.
"Yeah, let's go ahead and camp here," he agreed, pulling out a sleeping mat and holding it out to her. "Would you like this? I'll sit up so that I don't happen to fall into a deep sleep. You should rest up as much as you can."

Raine blinked as he held out the mat. "But will you be okay without sleep? You've already done so much." She was hesitant to take the mat. "Even fighting the demons...my family.."
She hugged herself, staring out into the night.
He doesn't know what he's getting into. Tell him before he gets any closer....
"I..."

"I'll be fine, I promise," Renkhal said, handing over the mat. "And, I will get a little sleep. It will be enough for now." Which was true; he could go a couple days on little sleep so long as he kept moving. After a couple days, though, he would need rest or he would be next to useless in anything.

Raine didnt like it, but she had no choice as he handed over his mat with a smile. She sighed softly.
"All right, but tomorrow night Ill be the one to watch." She said, determined. "You need as much rest as me." She took the mat and spread it out, ready for bed. She lied down onto the mat gently, wincing at the slight pain from her healing wound.
"Good night Renkhal."

Renkhal sat down nearby and readied himself to sit up.
"Good night, Raine. Sleep well."

Raine fell asleep quite fast and was in a deep slumber through the entire night.
But as she slept, the demons were plotting and one in particular watched the two from the tree tops. The full moon cast a eerie glow, brightening his already pink hair. His smile was filled with evil.
"Soon Laraine..."
Raine soon awoke, the night yet to be over. But she couldn't sleep anymore, she looked back at Renkhal to see if he was awake.

>>Sory I had to catch up<< [navy]Twichey was a fair distance from camp when he herd Raine scream. "crap" that was the only word he could think of before he began to dash back to camp.
He saw the back of the rock they had called camp. He felt something bad in his gut...but what? He unsheathed his daggers and began to slow his pace to a more of a stalking speed. He lowered his body to a crouch. He stopped to listen for anything odd.
"Its to quiet for a forest at this time of day. What is going..." Before he could finish he was tackled by a large black figure. It seamed to weigh a ton to his small body. He hit the ground hard with this thing atop his tiny frame.
Acting quickly he made a few quick stabs at the figure and was able to squeeze from under it. After he was free of the attacker he got a better look. It was a ghoulish looking demon that of which resembled the dead one near camp.
The demon now oozed a dark green blood from the few stab wounds Twichey had just inflicted. Before the demon could regain its composure Twichey charged at it. He stabbed it once or twice before the hell-spawn swept at him with a large ghoulish clawed hand. This was all it took to send Twichey flying into a tree trunk. He hit square on his head...everything faded to black.
He awoke to the darkness of night and the thumping of his head. He ran his fingers through his stringy hair. What he found was a large clump of dried blood and a tender spot covering most of his head.
Looking around he also saw the demon which had caused this blow to him. It lay dead from wear it had struck him. Apparently Twichey had caused more damage than he had thought. With no way to tell how long he had been out he ran to check the camp. He found nothing but but the corpse of another demon and the small remains of the fire that had been there. He sat a moment to gather his scrambled thoughts and patch his wound. His head was now half bandaged and still throbbing in pain. It looked as if someone had placed a red spotted towel horizontally across his face. This covered his left eye and all of the back and top of his head.
He did what he could to follow their tracks and at as fast a pace he could keep without overworking his still recovering body. A day passed and he had little sleep. He didn't need much thanks to his Little "nap" earlier. He chuckled to himself as he thought of that. It wasn't long before he had to rest again, about mid afternoon just before the sun fell below the horizon. As he regained his composure his stomach began to churn. He had eaten already so this was not the culprit.
Something els was at work hear this was the same feeling he had just before he was attacked last time. "No more surprise attacks on me by Uther" he stated as he wrapped himself in his invisibility cloak. He continued to follow the tracks left by his comrades until he saw a familiar face.
It was that of Renkhal. He was sitting up with his back against a tree. Twichey was sure Rain was nearby but he wasn't sure yet.
He drew closer to Renkhal and began to speak."I'm glad I managed to find you two." Twichey removed his cloak and continued. "I Hope things weren't to hectic in my absents." Twichey lowered his voice to a whisper now. "Renkhal keep on your guard I have a very bad feeling[/navy]Sorry for my absence. been buisy lately. but im back -

Renkhal was startled when Twichey came into view, his hand moving immediately to his sword until he recognized him.
"I'm glad I managedto find you you. I hope things weren't too hectic in my absence."
"Not too much. There was an attack, but we were able to take care of it," Renkhal said, standing and motioning towards Raine. "She was hurt a little more but I think she's doing better now."
"Renkhal keep on your guard I have a very bad feeling."
Renkhal frowned and looked around. "What do you mean? What kind of feeling?"
After the demons, Renkhal wasn't sure he wanted to deal with anything else right now. However, he said he'd protect Raine so he would handle whatever came their way.
"Why don't you relax? I'm sure you're tired, as well. We'll be moving along in an hour or two."

Raine blinked, now fully awake. She looked out and smiled. "hey Twichey! How are you doing?" Raine was still tired, but she was afraid to sleep again for the nightmares she had were terrible.Still she smiled.

[navy] "I'm not positive of the threat but i sens something far more evil than what we have previously dealt with." And I am a bit weary from my travel. I suppose i could at least sit for a moment or two".
"hey Twichey! How are you doing?" Raine said with a smile on her face. Twichey was relieved to see Raine was safe for the time being. "Well I have been better mis Raine" He said a he half scratched half rubbed the bandage on hi head. "How much sleep have you gotten Renkhal? not very much ill wager" Twichey placed his hand on Renkhals shoulder and motioned his head in Raine's direction. "Go catch a few winks while you can. Ill keep watch until morning." Twichey chuckled. "I'm not very tired after the little nap I had.
Twichey sat on a nearby stump and rifled through his bag. He pulled out his small flask of alcohol, unscrewed the cap and took a small swig of the life giving nectar. He then returned it to his bag and withdrew a wet-stone. Flicking out his wrist blade he spit on the stone and began to work it back and forth on the blade.[/navy]
