Adrian nodded. "Yeah, you told me," He said. He was still awed by the fact she could change the weather. If he could do that, he'd always be cold, as he was used to.
At her next part, he replied, "I'm the opposite. As a wolf, I'm twice as big as regular wolves are, and I'm faster and stronger. My senses are better. I suppose that makes stealth difficult, at least down here where white fur would blend into nothing. At least on the Ridge, I'm camouflaged."
Adrian paused for a moment, and frowned. "Before I came along, was the forest active? As in, could you hear birds and animals and such? Or has it been this quiet?" Utter silence anywhere there should logically be noise always concerned him. Even in the desolate snows there was always some kind of noises if the area was at peace. He didn't remember how it was last time he came, but it was unnerving.

Winter pondered for a moment...Had there been noise in the forest before he had gotten there? It was unlike her to not be listening for even a slight crack of a branch or stem. "No, I don't believe there was." Winter kept still for a moment. "I honestly don't mind the silence...It's calming to me and well, its what I'm used to."
"I don't even talk to people very often...At least, never a conversation. Only if I bump into someone or something like that do I really say anything..I'm a reserved person, what can I say?" Winter looked around her at the tree tops that didn't let much light into the forest.

Adrian relaxed, if only slightly. Total silence bothered him. Usually, at home, it meant something big and violent was nearby.
"I don't talk to people often either, not since I left. I suppose I've had the luck to be able to talk to people before I left though." He sighed. He was pretty sure that if the wolves hadn't kept him company, he'd have driven himself insane by now.
To avoid more silence, he asked, "So, do you have a particular destination that you're going to? Or are you just kinda wandering?"

"Wandering." Winter never had a home...Even for food she just ate whatever berries she found, and drank whatever water she got. Fairies didn't need to eat as often as humans anyway. Winter picked up on the fact that he didn't seem to like silence so she decided to return the question.
"What about you? Are you trying to find someplace?" She asked. It was starting to get darker in the forest. Winter wasn't sure she quite liked not seeing anything for miles... Although it was better than then being in a dry hot desert she assumed.

"No, I mostly just came here because I could," He said. "I'm in no major hurry to get home. After all, there's only so much that you can do day after day living on the Ridge."
He looked around. It was growing darker by the second. Being able to see with a wolf's eyes - another side effect of staying a wolf too long - had its addvantages. He could see pretty well, even as the shadows grew longer, almost invisible, blending with the darkness. He was quickly growing used to not hearing animals; the rustle of the leaves was actually quite peaceful.
He stretched and leaned back against a tree. "So, if you don't ever talk to people, how is it that you can talk to me?" He asked curiously. "I mean, know the language and all that?"
