Name: Oswin
Age: 103 though he appears to be in his early 30's
Race: human
Physical Description:
His black hair is slick and combed backwards in such a way that it, combined with his well trimmed goatee and mustache, makes him look rather dignified. His brown eyes are friendly and warm. His wizard robes are mostly red but are decorated with both black and gold in intricate patterns. He stands at 5.9 and has a lean build. The beautiful sheath strapped to his belt contains an even more beautiful, ornamental dagger. Both are full of intricate patterns and decorations, but the dagger is most certainly not suited for combat and is merely used for ceremony's.
Personality:
Vain, very vain. He cares a lot about the way he looks. Oswin is a powerful warlock that is always curious to learn more about the demonic plane. He always takes ample precautions when performing a summoning of course but sometimes his curiosity and desire to learn more can make him stray from the path of caution. He is also quite the swindler, as he gets the money he needs by summoning demons that are firmly under his control, and thus harmless, to scare townspeople. After a few days he will come in and offer to take care of the demon. For a price of course. Besides all this, he is a friendly and charismatic person, though others often find him a tad eccentric and absentminded.
History:
Although slightly unusual for a human, Oswin was born about 103 years ago in a small village near lonea lake. His vast magical powers keep his body young, a phenomenon not uncommon among powerful magi. He was the youngest of 5 brothers and was bullied quite a bit when he was small. He was forced to help out on his fathers fishing boat ever since he was 5 years old. Despite having to work together with 4 older brothers that enjoyed teasing and pestering him, he enjoyed the work. Always curious and wanting to learn new things, he was often found reading whatever he could get his hands on which in turn caught the attention of lord Trambeses. lord Trambeses was a rather rich man of low noble stature, living in a huge mansion on the outskirts of the village. He befriended the young boy and gave him access to his library while encouraging the boy to read and learn. Upon learning of this, his father started encouraging this as well, even allowing him to skip fishing trips in the hopes of giving the boy a better future then that of a simple fisherman.
At the age of 12 however, things went wrong. Oswin had found a book called "Basic Applied Demonology". The boy was fascinated by it and eventually tried a summoning. He succeeded, but didn't realize just how lucky he had been to have summoned the imp Shuzgúb until several years later. As far as demons go, Shuzgúb could be considered friendly and as such, didn't attack the boy. In fact, he took a liking to Oswin when he was offered a bit of cheese the boy was holding. Sadly, to Shuzgúb, even the tiniest bit of foods and drinks from the regular plane of existence, puts him into a drunken like state causing him to accidentally burn down Oswin's house before Oswin managed to banish him again. Afraid of what would happen if his brothers ever found, he fled the village while still holding the book in his hands.
And thus he started wandering the realm, teaching himself magic as he went. This was naturally not without danger and more then once he nearly died because his experiments backfired. As he grew older and more powerful, he managed to fully "enslave" Shuzgúb and other demons he found useful, although Shuzgúb has become more of a pet rather then an enslaved minion. Through Shuzgúb, and the other demons he learned more and more about the demon plane and how to summon, fight, enslave, banish its denizens. The most annoying part about his research however, is that his subjects tend to be trying to kill him.
Of course, he did not only study demonic stuff and has over the years become proficient in regular arcane magic as well. A by product of his vast magical powers is that it seems to "conserve" his body as it slows his aging process by an undetermined amount. Oswin is at least 103 years old but still looks like a man in his early 30s'. He has no idea how much his life will be extended but he is naturally not complaining. It just means he has more time to study the demonic plane as he travels around Valear scamming villages with fake demon attacks and the banishing of said demons.

This is an NPC. I merely added a mini bio because he will pop up more often in threads with Oswin, so having a short description might be nice for others.
Name: Brandus
Age: 42
Race: human
Physical Description:
Brandus has a lean build, though his muscles are slightly pronounced. The brown, slightly ragged, light leather armor shows he emphasizes speed over pure strength. On his back he carries a simple scabbard holding a simple bastard sword. While the scabbard looks like it has seen better days, the blade is in tip top shape. His short, brown hair is disheveled as he doesn't really care about his looks. His deep, blue eyes and warm smile make it easy for others to like him.
Personality
Brandus is quite serious, and as such is at times the antithesis to his companion and master, Oswin. Although serious, this does not mean he does not enjoy a joke or has no sense of humor. He is friendly and polite and extremely loyal to Oswin as to him, the warlock is almost like a surrogate father.
History
Until he met Oswin 35 years ago, Brandus life had been one of hardship. He lived of the streets, never even knowing if his parents dumped him or if they had died. When he first met the warlock, he had tried to pick his pockets but was caught. When asked about why he took the boy with him, Oswin always changes the subject, but the truth is that even he does not know. Either way, Brandus life changed as he started traveling with Oswin. He learned how to read and write, do basic math and more. It quickly turned out though, that Brandus had no magical talent. And thus, for several years, Oswin left him with a hermit swordsman that owed him one. After becoming an accomplished swordsman however, Brandus sought out Oswin. The warlock told him to live his life the way he saw fit, but he refused. Ever since, he has been working for Oswin.
