Now in a power slide he slid past his sword grasping its rune carved hilt using his momentum to pull it free he spun around just in time to watch the beast blinded and the growling disappearance of his companion. The beast hunched its shoulders and released a roar full of pain and fury, dropping its head he charged randomly towards the far wall forcing Bane to lunch to the left leaving a trail of steaming red liquid that looked like heated metal that one would take for blood. The wall taking the impact was torn to shreds ripping up the floor boards revealing a once well hidden stone stairwell beneath the building. Taking a few steps back Bane felt the back of his head looking at his hand pleased to see the wound was healing rapidly, fire leaping over the wound forcing it closed and stopping the magma like blood from escaping. Shaking off his head ache he growled from deep in his chest dropping into a very low stance his chest almost touching the ground, lunging forward he threw his sword just as the beast was turning, end over end it flew embedding itself in its chest to the hilt. The blow was enough of a shock to allow Bane to leap forward his left boot landing acrobatically upon the hilt his right foot driving forward a his right fist into its hone covered forehead. Horns snapping free the collision exposed its skull, its head pushed back revealed the tender flesh of its throat--

Airkhasiel saw at the opening, carefully calcualting to jump at the throat and not hurt Bane she jumped in out of the shadows again and tore at it's throat taking a great big chunk of it's throat including half of it's airway. Airkhasiel quickly jumped off again pushing her back legs onto the creature using it as a boost of speed as if she was jumping off a wall, Airkhasiel now sat still, her paws and fangs covered with fresh blood. The large chunk of meat on the floor next to the creature, she sat and watched from a distance as the creature became disorientated and fell to the ground with a great thump. Airkhasiel looked at her companion, with a look of regret and sadness.

Her companion however was not regretting a moment of it, standing upon his fallen foe he stared into its eyes as the light faded from its demonic soul sending it back once it came. Clenching his fist over the hilt of his sword he drew it free from its corpse flicking green blood from its silver edge before sheathing it allowing the ringing of sheathed metal to carry on for a moment before letting go of its hilt. Stepping over its twitching arm he jumped off the demon staring down the stair case it had revealed. Turning to stare at her his eyes now burning with white flame, he seemed to be struggling with himself and it took a while for him to speak “T.Thanks that big bastard almost had me there” bowing his head he took a deep breath. “However on the bright side you are about to see a sight not seen by man since before this town was in creation.” His brow knitted before before he loosened his cloth clothing letting his sword arm fall free of its bounds. Chest and sword arm now clear of their bounds aside from the shoulder armor he had draped over him he would be able to move without obstruction. "I again apologize for dragging you hear Air, your soft spirit has no need of seeing such things"

Airkhasiel looked at Bane, she had seen death before it was a part of life. Simple law of life was to kill or be killed. Especially in these times. Airkhasiel got up, walking to the chunk of neck she tore off, using her paw she shifted it to Bane as if too say that she did not regret protecting him only that a creature had to die because of it's fowl nature. She looked at the creature and growled and then back at bane with a look of content, in the knowing that if they hadn't killed it. The one laying on the floor would be her or possibly even Bane. Airkhasiel stood next to him and sat waiting patiently in her large form, curious to where they would go and what they would encounter next. She knew all too well that this was far from over.

From the murky depths of the stairwell the sound of faint music emanated, it was heavy and deep full of loathing, a commanding voice seemed to be mixed in it demanding something to awaken. Bane seemed to hear this for even with your high senses was it faint. Bane smiled down at you scratching you behind the ears “I think I found you much more attractive as an elf” his foot struck the first step then he was making his way down a burning flame amongst a valley of darkness. The stairwell seemed to go on for eternity, a gentle spiral deep into the earth until finally a great door was before them, ancient runes in a long lost language were set above it. The air was musky and felt dead to there skin, the faint smell of decaying and strangely honey seemed to be seeping out of the broken door. Pushing on the door lightly it swung open revealing something that simply should not be. A great city, now dead and broken would have once been a wonder to behold, masterfully cut stone had been standing for decades under a sky of dirt and glowing stones that threw light upon the place. Suddenly a scream rent the air cut off prematurely, the sight of a foot disappearing around a corner was all Bane could catch before the sound of heavy door closing.

(OOC: just to point out you god modded me a bit there but that's okay I'll allow it for that post) A low deep chuckle came from the back of Airkhasiel's throat from Bane's remark. Airkhasiel looked around the room her cat senses seeing a man dissapear quickly around the corner and the banging of a heavy door closing. Airkhasiel transformed back into an elf when Bane had his back turned then spoke, trying to lighten the mood "I see, so you find me attractive?" she teased Bane as they walked into the strange new city, she observed it in awe for a minute and then turned around, the ruins behinds her, the dim glow of light reflecting on her dark hair making it shine. Airkhasiel felt calm, she turned around to Bane, crossing her arms. With an obvious fake look of disaproval on her face, her ocean blue eyes smiling.

(Aye i was wondering about that when I read it threw, but I thought since it was so tiny and more of a complimentary thing I would just leave it alone, sorry about that)
For a moment he looked stunned then he tilted his head back and laughed deeply his voice reverberating around the huge underground chamber. Stopping he returned his gaze to you, laughing eyes drinking in the figure of the gorgeous elf. “Aye, now now don’t be cross its not fair for a good looking woman to expect a man to ignore her natural endowments.” A small smile mischievously spread across his face “although I was wondering with much disappointment how you manage to shape shift clothing?”

(OOC: No worries I was just pointing it out) Airkhasiel looked around as Bane's laugh filled the chamber then back at him the down at her clothes, she smiled "That would be telling..." her answer wasn't direct, looking at his michevious smile. She laughed "Oh, so I don't look good as a Panther or with clothing on?" sarcasm entered her voice "Sorry if I do not provide reality similar to your imagination, oh great perverted one"

He scratched his chin pondering this "I'm not sure but Ill tell you an quick remedy for this problem" his hand rested on the pommel of his sword putting him into a relaxing stance "Take your cloths off and ill tell you which I prefure" he chuckled, the light banter of the situation lifting the heavy weight of the dire situation they were in from his shoulders

Airkhasiel smiled at Bane "You're not that lucky" she could see that Bane had relaxed, this was releiving for when thinking in a hurry would make things unclear. Looking at the ground she then sighed unfortunately this light feeling couldn't last forever, a small tear went down her soft cheek. Why did the world have to be so violent?

he watched the tear, crying was something he could never accomplish although he found the process most fascinating, what an odd thing to develop merely to portray sadness. His warm hand touched your shoulder "what ever is wrong?" he questioned unsure if he had insulted her with his brash speaking.

Airkhasiel smiled as his warm hand touched her arm, she looked at Bane putting her hand over his "Nothing, I was just crying for the darkness of our hearts" Airkhasiel gave Bane a friendly hug quickly and then pulled away, turning around and venturing futher into the ruined underground city, observing all the ruins, a blue light eminating from shining blue crystals at the top of the underground cave and small fireflies were in a gentle swarm around her. Airkhasiel looked up at it with a gentle curiousity, the blue light shining on her silky black hair, she reached her hand up into the air to let a firefly land on it.

He blinked at her words, twas it not for the darkness in the hearts of the living his existence would be worthless. Shrugging away the unwanted thoughts he followed Air watching her play with the small bugs. Being a source of light several ventured towards him which he quickly batted away not fond of there constant buzzing. His eyes venturing down a back alley he spotted a shadow speeding away from them, a moment more several more followed it. His brow knitting he stopped at the alley following the strange shadows into the depths.

Airkhasiel turned her attention to Bane when he turned into the dark alley, she slowly followed after him remaining silent and saying nothing, the only sound was the sounds of their feet walking against the soft earth and the vibrations, something about this place didn't feel right. Then remembering the suprised look on Bane's eyes after what she said. Airkhasiel was gentle and only did what she needed to in order to survive but this stranger, this element of fire was used to killing. He was kind to her, but what was he like with others? this bothered her "Bane" she stopped behind him, looking at him with a serious expression a hint of sadness but still curiousity in her eyes "What in the comment I made earlier about our hearts suprised you?" Airkhasiel was sharp and quick to pick up tones and movements and actions for she believed they spoke more than words, she was curious to what Bane thought.

He knelt silently touching his hand to a dark puddle that looked far to similar to blood. "Surprise? no lass" he turned to her and smiled sadly "We all have blacks and whites our choices dictate which side we choose. You are a soft being, a being that would live perfectly in peace. Things like me however...we are born to the feel of battle, without it we are dust...it makes me sad that I will always be a warrior seeking the next battle...and im ashamed to say deep down combat is something I am deeply in love with..." he sighed touching his fingers together his brow knitting at the blood thickness then shuddered "please Air forget I told you that its nothing...What ever left this was human...shall we find out what happened?"
