Eyes like fire }{ A start for Bane

Airkhasiel watched Bane smiled at her sadly. He told her to forget, how could she? forgetting something elves weren't commonly known for. Her reply was calm and soft "If you want to investigate what happened Bane I shall come with you, I can't leave you one your own now..." she walked over to him looking down at the crimson puddle of red blood seeing him shudder she gently put her hand on his charcoal shoulder, he voice still gentle "But I won't forget, you and I are two different beings and we were born for different purposes..." Airkhasiel felt that what she was saying was necessary so she carried on "...Without the darkness of our hearts I wouldn't be able to be a soft being. There would be nothing to compare it to, if you enjoy combat that is your choice. But please be aware that I only kill to survive, I enjoy it as much as you would enjoy being patronised" Airkhasiel assumed Bane didn't have it easy around people, just by the trouble he managed to get into when she was a cat earlier another thing that gave this away were the wrapping he had worn, it was the best analogy she had.

He seemed the mull the thought in his mind, it did make sense and that at least lightened him slightly. Feeling better he stood staring into the shades of black ahead "we are on the right trail" the growled serious now he took a deep breath his body visibly relaxing, as if all his tight muscle was as swift and free as the great fire that roared atop his head. "I might as well stop being so glum and show off a tad I suppose, this blood feels very human however the mixture holds strands of Magic and...strange DNA. Knowing my past experiences we are about to find out what happened to the missing citizens" Stepping forward he smiled awkwardly back at Air before taking off running around the corner and diving behind an over turned stone statue. Turning to look over the dusty edge of the shattered art he watched the struggling gagged girl thrown into the padlocked cage built into a ruined building by a huge lumbering green beast. It seemed to be covered in puss filled warts its left hand malformed into a club, its face was that of a man contorted in pain.

Airkhasiel noted Bane's awkward smile, she didn't reply and gracefully followed him as her ran around the corner. Stopping to see a great ugly beast, she glared "Who would do such a thing?" A flash of silver light appeared in the cavern as she transformed herself into a beautiful blue dragon. He scales sparkling like saphires, standing fifteen point two metres high and thirty point five metres wide she was taller than the highest building, yet the cave was gigantic enough for her to still fly in, her sapphire blue eyes shined, he massive claws digging into the earth, her tail swept of to one side and her wings folded in next to her gigantic body. She looked down at her now small glowing companion a large grumbling that sounded like a growl came from the back of her throat, but it was a laugh. Using the telepathy of a dragon she contacted Bane's mind, her voice gentle and soft, but amused "Have you got a plan? I might just watch you for a while."

He had fought dragons before, they were tough creatures of massive power, for the most part they were indestructible and massively intelligent. Growling he drew his sword the huge beast only now noticing them its eyes growing wide at the huge dragon, it let forth a blood curdling scream then charged forth"Plan? plans are for tacticions Im a killer not a noble" Lunging forward it looked for a moment that he was to be hit hard by the great beast his form charging right towards its raised fist. Suddenly It fist flew free of its forearm in a wave of green blood Banes form sliding underneath its legs the incredibly fast blow from his sword arm could still be noted from the glittering wave of light it had left behind. Spinning on his heal he spun to face the back of the beast whom just now had stumbled to a halt its hand twitching for his bloodied arm, its head turning it stared at Bane bewildered. "Gods yer ugly..." Releasing a horrible scream it tilted its head back then collapsed to one knee a long moan escaping its bloodied lips. From behind Bane, out of dark corners and shadowy buildings stumbled the oddest and most horrid of beasts. All had human bits sticking from them, some seemed to have multiple people inside them. Groaning, screaming, roaring and chattering escaped the beastly horde that approached the pair. Seemingly to merely appear on the first beasts back bane drove the glittering blade deep into its throat, with a wicked twist he pulled it free riding the dieing beast to the ground "Best we save that girl sweet dragoness..."

Another growl came from the back of Airkhasiel's throat which was actually a laugh at his comment. She watched Bane for a second admiring how good he was with a blade and then looked around her at the surrounding beasts, they were going to suround them if she didn't come up with something quick. She had an idea, she looked at Bane with her large saphire eyes "Are you any good at flying?" she mused swishing her sharp points tails around like a blade keeping the disgusting creatures away from her. Airkhasiel had never had somebody fly on her before but she figured it was worth a try.

His blade like was like a ray of sunlight, so quick it seemingly formed a wall of deathly sharp steel driving back the raging beasts, already his feet were awash in a small river of multicolored blood, what was odd was the he had somehow avoided being touched by even a speck of gore. "I don't think id be very good at it, when I was very small I tied a curtain to my arms and jumped off a wagon" he joked his head dropping under slobbering mouth which was soon removed from the rest of the face. "or perhaps my lady you intend to have me upon your back?"

Airkhasiel looked down at Bane obviously amused "you make that sound worse than it sounds... but yes that is what I was thinking" she layed herself down still thrashing her tail backwards and forewards keeping her foes away. She laughed again "Of course you don't have to, but not many beings get to ride on the back of a dragon even when tamed let alone offered by one"

Driving his fist in one of the three screeching human faces on a chubby frog like monster bane danced backwards a tiny little imp of a thing sliced in half as he lunged for your leg. "fair enough just don't get fancy up their I was built to have my feet on firm stone..." Grasping the scales of her leg he began to climb

Airkhasiel laughed again the growl echoeing through the cave she used her wing to protect Bane while she sent a large flame over some of the monsters light up the cave, seeing armies of the hideous deformed creatures everywhere, while the creatures burned in agony she looked at Bane under her large wing putting her head next to him as he climbed up her blue crystal like scales "I don't think you have a choice in the matter" she said still amused.

Almost falling he growled hanging from one arm he pulled up, muscles bulging he hoisted himself into the air landing lightly on the crown of your head his hand sliding under a scale, trying to avoid hurting you. "lovely...just don't forget the girl...we need her" his eyes flicking up at the flying beasts above them he drew his blade and waited silently

Airkhasiel growled "Hang tight, Bane" She tossed him onto her back and lifted off, flying toward the statue and picking up the girl in her talons, the wind on her face felt cool. Her eyesight was brilliant she could see everything. The creatures howled as they lifted from the ground, Airkhasiel turned around ready to swoop hoping Bane was hanging in there, she swooped herself down a trail of bruning flames behind them burning their enemies into a screaming agony. Airkhasiel look down at her claws to see if the girl was okay and she was fine. Airkhasiel landed on a rock quickly and tossed her over to Bane "Look after her!" Airkhasiel quickly taking flight again, seeing a dragon coming close to her, it was black with sprakling yellow eyes it regaurded her with a simple patience <You are not of our kind, what are you doing here?> it said to her "My name is Air, we are trying to find remainders of any humans that have infiltrated your home and take them away whilst trying to deal with your pest problem" Airkhasiel replied calmly in the same language.

the woman flew towards him, with a curse he sheathed his blade hasefully and caught her, the blow form her body weight sent him reeling back his fingers just clutching a scale he reached back and caught her hand. Groaning he once again had to apply his titanic strength to hold on "blasted dragon" he growled under his breath. At the sight of the second dragon he acted hastefuly. pulling free the bands he used to hide his head he tied to woman down tightly then took care not to be seen his body pressed tight behind the form of the girl. It was then that he noticed the the form seemingly to glide under them, he said nothing and instead chose to wait things out.

The Dragon nodded at Airkhasiel <Very well young one, we have not realised these creatures, there also seem to be other flying beasts among us, we will keep the sky creatures away for the sky is where we roam but we leave you to take care of the land> Airkhasiel growled back in the same language "Thankyou, yes I have noticed. May the godess light your path" Airkhasiel sent a thought to Bane, her ears sharp hearing what he said "I am doing my job and saving this girl you want to save whilst your at it" her thought was sharp and commanding, something was different about Airkhasiel her tone had changed. She was now taking charge of the situation which was new to her, but it was her survival instinct "Protect the girl and sit tight, the other dragons are dealing with the flying beasts but if one attacks us be prepared, I may not be able to fend them all off. I will take care of the creatures on the ground" her thermal sight saw the body parts all over the place she swooped down, another burst of flame trailing behind them, two deformed bat looking things with pure black pupils, sharp fangs the colour of human skin, the structure created by human joints stictched flesh. She unintentionally sent a thought to Bane "What kind of minded person would do such a thing?" twisting around upside down quickly then back up again she swiped one of the beast with her claw tearing it to peices realising another was behind her "Bane! behind you!"

He hadn't been ready for the attack the blow striking him hard in the chest sent him flying from Air's back. Falling threw the air he grasped the beast by its neck trying to hoist himself atop it, realizing it simply wasn't strong enough to carry the both of them he had but once choice. He could into allow this simple beast to survive and pose a threat to his friend so he swung into its back and with a great Roar tore its wings from its back both him and the bat beast collapsed to the ground in a swarm of flailing spitting beasts. For a second there was the light emanating from his being, his fists flashing out to defend himself for his sword had fallen from his grasp when he had fallen. Breathing heavily he felt himself over come and dragged to the ground disappearing from view as beasts piled on top of each other to get at him. Not knowing if you could read thoughts as a dragon he gave a simple thought before his presence disappeared "Find the man in the robe...KILL HIM" then he was gone
Above the stairs that lead from the place bane had vanished a robed figure turned and disappeared into what appeared to be a great castle.

Airkhasiel reached out "BANE! no!" she roared in disapproval that her friend had been taken. Flying into the catsle which Bane had directed her too. She flew over the castle and landed in the courtyard where she flew above, the wind of her wings sweeping the figure away from where it wanted to go. She growled at it loudy, the echoe filling the hall her magnificent scales shining blue, she sent a blue flame toward her target, engulfing the figure making it's cloak burning. "Why are you doing this?"
