New Friends (Nireul)

"It's my home, after I lost my family I found this place. It's perfectly safe. The only way in or out is through the place we came in. I've never had any trouble here. Ocasionally I'll get a small fox wandering in here, or a rabbit, but nothing big. It's hard to get past all the brush." she smiled at Zack. Lyndi sat down on the soft grass.

Zack smiled and sat next to Lyndi.

"It is very nice here." Zack continued to look around at the beauty of the area. He sighed calmly and closed his eyes, laying back.

Lyndi shifted into a fox and chased her tail for a few minutes, then she went to the pool of water for a drink, and then she tried to catch a few butterflies. When she was done haveing her fun she shifted back into her elven form and layed down next to Zack,"Sorry," she laughed,"I had to burn off some of my energy." she smiled and she too closed her eyes.

"Its fine." Zack replied smiling with his eyes still closed.
//If things go the way they are...then this may be one of the last times we have to relax.\\ Zack thought sadly.

"Soooo," Lyndi said getting antsy. she couldn't sit still for very long unless she was asleep. "what's your favorite animal?"

Zack opened his eyes.

"Thats a good question. I guess...a fox. Mainly the white colored ones." Zack said giggling slightly.

Lyndi decided to put on a little show, just for giggles. She shifted into a falcoln and flew high into the sky. She did a few loops and twirls and came back down towards the ground, she shifted into a fish and fell into the pool of water. she came out of the water as a platapus, and then she shifted into a duck and jumped around excitedly. Now it was time for her finishing act. She shifted into a small white fox, and skipped playfully over to Zack and layed down in his lap and looked up at him with bright happy eyes.

Zack smiled happily and patted Lyndi on the head. He laughed slightly, then looked up into the sky closing his eyes again.

Lyndi looked up at Zack pleased that she made him laugh. she crawled out of his lap, and stretched her legs. Lyndi shifted into a tan lioness and layed out in the sun. It warmed her through her fur coat. She smiled and let out a noisy yawn. She let her tail flicker playfully.

Zack layed back again and slowly started to fall asleep. It really was peaceful here.

Lyndi was half asleep when she smelled someone near by. More then one someone. It was several people. Lyndi was suspicious. she shifted into a small fox and ran out of the small haven. she stayed low in the thick brush and sniffed around. soon enough she found several men in black that looked similar to the one who had attacked Lyndi and Zack earlier.

"They went this way." A man said. It was the one that Lyndi had let live. he had followed her and Zack. A string of fear wrapped its way around Lyndi's body. they were so close to the haven. If they discovered it, she woud be devistated. Lyndi had to warn zack, but the man knows she is a shifter, so if they catch her as a fox, and follow her Lyndi could lead them right to her haven. Hopefully Zack wouldn't wake up anytime soon and come looking for her.

Zack kept on sleeping. All the traveling had worn him out. Besides, it wasn't often you got time to relax in a practical rendition of paradise.

Lyndi stayed low for quite sometime, until she was almost positive that the men had gone. she crept out from hiding and searched for them, stangly their scent had vanished along with the men themselves. Maybe the wind had just blown their scents away from her. Either way everything seemed calm now. she crawled her way back to the haven where Zack was still sleeping and Shifted back into her elven form and layed down next to him. Where she too soon fell asleep.
