New Friends (Nireul)

Lyndi walked by herself along the side of the lake, debating on weather she wanted to swim today or not. she needed some other way to spend her time. She needed friends, people to talk to, something to do with her life. It was hard considering she hasn't had anyone for years to talk to.


Lyndi looked up to see a figure on the other side of the lake. It was a man. Should she approach him?

The man stopped for a moment and looked up into the sky. Once he started walking again and got closer, a black blinfold could be seen covering his eyes. Somehow though, he was walking perfectly fine and did not seem to have any trouble at all.

Lyndi noticed his blindfold now that she was closer to him. How strange. He was able to walk fine, without fear of where he was going, yet he was blindfolded. She was filled with curiousity now. who was this man. How was he able to walk in such away blindfolded, and why was he here at the lake?

The man kept walking. He walked past Lyndi and nodded at her as he passed by her. A cloaked figure followed a while behind the man.

As he walked past Lyndi noticed he nodded at her. that was it she had to know. She ran back up to him, "How do you know I am here? You have a blindfold on, yet you walk as if you can see. How is that possible?"

The man stopped and turned around. He smiled at Lyndi and slowly took the blindfold off.
"My friend, your eyes are often a distraction from true sight." The cloaked figure kept walking toward the two at the same pace.

"I'm not sure what that means, but I have a strange feeling I will figure it out one day. who is that?" she guestured at the figure. "Are they with you? And another thing, why are you out here all by yourself?"

[xinck]

Zack looked at the cloaked figure. The figure took his hood off and approached the pair.
"Hello sir. Did you drop this?" The man held a piece of paper in his hand. The top was blank.

"I don't think so." Zack said. He turned the paper over and read the print.
"Goodbye...?" Zack's face turned red in fear. He pushed Lyndi out of the way just in time. The cloaked figure had drawn out a small dagger and stabbed at Zack. He would have gone through Lyndi if Zack didn't push her to the floor.
"Errr!" Zack's back got slashed across the back. He fell on the ground next to Lyndi.

She acted on impulse. She shifted into a large black panther and pounced on the cloaked figure, who dropped his weapon in shock. she ripped at him, and bloddied him up badly. He got up and ran off. Lyndi shifted back into her elven form and looked down at the new man she had just met. she slowly sat down next to his body on the ground,"You saved me. an dyou don't even know me. And your hurt!"

Zack tried to get up but gasped in pain.
"Don't worry...I'm sorry to have gotten you involved." Zack said weakly.

[jada]

"No, you saved me. No on ewould do that for me." she ripped part of her shirt off and ran down to the water. the lake was clean and so she dipped the cloth from her shirt into the cool water. she went back over to the injured man. This may sting but your wounds need to be cleaned. she started to lightly clean his wounds.

Zack winced in momentary pain.
"Thank you...You are kind as well..." Zack said. He sat up painfully. "I'm truly sorry for getting you into this. You are going to be hunted down by them now too."

[jada]

"who are they? Why do they hunt you? If i'm going to be hunted as well, I should like to know your name and what is going on." For the grim situation lyndi couldn't help but smile at the man. There was something about him that just made her smile.

She continued cleaning his wounds, and ripped the sleves of her shirt off to use as bandages to keep his wounds from bleeding. "It may be painful, but you will live" she smiled at him.

"They are a large group of assassins. Why they hunt me, well it is complicated." Zack stood up slowly.
"Thank you. Sorry for shoving you."

"Don't be sorry, you saved me. I would have been badly hurt if you hadn't done that." she smiled at him thankfully.

"Now I need to know the full story, who you are and why you are being hunted. Because it now involves my silly little life. if you are willing to protect me, you are my friend, and i am willing to do the same for you. No please tell me."
