Sarora nodded and her flight took on a slightly different feel, she tensed, ready to land, looking for a suitable spot. She found one, a slight dip in the land between a few hills and relatively shrouded by trees. It wasn't a ravine by any stretch, but it would shield them well enough.
This time Sarora's landing was entirely different from the last. She angled her wings, gently descending to the ground, and landed lightly enough that the trees didn't so much as rustle with the wind from her wings. She crouched close to the ground like a cat. arching her neck to look behind her at the two riders.
Here is good, she said. we're unlikely to be seen, and there isn't likely to be a better hidden spot. I will know if someone is coming.

Len nodded. "Perfect." And he began to hop down, and on the landing, he botched slightly, and faceplanted before he'd forgotten to roll. The result is one motionless Len, since the force would likelt be good enough to knock him out. Way to fail, Len. Ah well, you can be a human blanket. There was nothing with that, was there?

The silent figure glided across the ground, weaving in between the trees of the forest, sliding through shadows without causing them to stir and leaving the leaves on the tree still in passing. It had been a long and tiring journey as it usually was when traveling that way, but it was good for quickness. Quick travel had gotten less as age had set in and complacency taken over, but it could still be utilized when needed...and it was needed now.
Stopping in a shadow, the world momentarily darkened as a flying shadow passed overhead and landed nearby. It was for this reason that quickness had been necessary. Traveling by foot would have taken to long and there would have been no way to catch them.
The figure made its way to the edge of the clearing just as the young man fell to the ground headfirst. The girl and the dragon were still comfortable. It would probably be best to wait and let them sleep. The figure melted back into the forest, smiling.

Saira scrambled down, crouching next to Len. "Are you okay?" She asked, slightly concerned, but Len didn't wake. She shook him gently, but to no avail. It was quite the fall, after all. She debated trying to move him, but figured there was no point - here was as good a place as any to lay, seeing as the area they were in was rather featureless save for a few trees off to the edge, and she would likely end up causing more harm than help. So she curled up next to him instead after making sure he didn't look seriously damaged, and that he was breathing and everything.
Sarora shifted so her body was curved in a protective 'C' shape around the two. Someone... Or something was nearby. Nothing big, and nothing hostile, so she kept her mind closed to it instead of finding out what it was. She was tired, and if she found out what it was it could too find out what she was, and that might not end well. So she closed her eyes in the illusion of sleep but kept her mind completely alert - it would give her some rest, at least, if not the full rest that sleeping would give her.

His heartbeat had steadied and slowed a bit from being knocked out, but he seemed fine. He'd be out for the rest of the day, more-or-less. Other than that, once he got up, he'd only have a headache that could be compared to a hangover - though it's going to be a bit more forward than what a hangover would procure.

Saira slept soundly through the night, being fairly tired. Sarora stayed awake, curled near the two and listening to the forest. She could feel Len's mindlink, fuzzy from the fall but undamaged, and deemed him to be not seriously injured. She eventually went into a half- trancelike state, her mind resting but her senses completely alert to everything around them. She stayed like this until the first light began to creep into the sky.

Len began to awaken, and immediately groaned in some pain, the headache hitting him abruptly and hard, like a sledgehammer. He shifted, and clutched his forehead, nearly coiled in a ball. If he wanted a headache from hell, he got it with an ace of spades. The details of how he got it was a bit fuzzy at first, but he remembered it quite clearly afterward. Mind you, remembering how it happened also hurt - every thought that rolled through his head hurt. His eyes were shut, as to help his headache along.

As the three travelers started to stir, the figure emerged from the treeline, hooded and cloaked. Passing with the wind, the figure walked to the center of the clearing and looked at the dragon, the deadliest of the group at this point since dragons were ever ready for trouble.
Without saying a word, frail hands reached out and removed the hood, causing grey hair and eyes to squint now that they were out from under the shadow. A ragged smile creased the weathered face. Silently, the thought came:
It is good to see you again, Sarora. The figure, Kimara Severn, waited for the response.

He heard footsteps, and immediately sprang, drawing his dirk, and pointing it to the figure that had seemingly come out of nowhere. Len was in pain, but someone came by. Either he'd have to threaten the other silent, drag that one along, or be cold about killing the person. "Hold your horses!" He waited for his newfound threat to make any sort of response. He suspected retaliation.
[[Just note by OOC if we want my post to be ignored and/or deleted, Saira. I kinda jumped on this one.]]

Sarora's eyes focused the moment the figure entered the clearing. She watched him cross the clearing silently, familiarity pouring from him. She knew who he was before he got there and let out a growl (or more of a purr) of welcome, lowering her head to the ground to be more level with the human. Hello again, Kimara, she said.
Saira had stood upon seeing Len react so strongly to the figure emerging from the woods, and hearing Sarora's welcome. She rose. Whoever it was seemed familiar, but unlike Sarora, she didn't recognize him until he puled his hood back. Once he did, she broke into a grin and ran to greet him.
"Kimara!" She said, not quite believing it. "You're here. But.. I thought you were up on Blaze? How did you follow after us so fast? And why-"
Saira, not so many questions. You would think to offer some kind of meal, or a place to rest?" Saira smiled sheepishly. "Of course. Would you like anything to eat?" She said, turning to Len. "You remember Kimara, right? You only met him for a short time, when we got back, but it wasn't too long ago."

Kimara never even glanced at Len as he shouted his outburst. Kimara nodded to Sarora and couldn't help but smile as Saira came dashing up, questions pouring out of her mouth
"No thank you, dear," Kimara said happily. "I rested while you all did and ate in the forest." Kimara walked over to Sarora and put a hand on her scales and sent good thoughts to her via the mental link.
Kimara hoisted the pack off the hunched back and sat down beside Sarora. "I see you three have fared well in the time we spent apart. Tell me: What are you all up to now?"

Len sighed, and held his forehead. "My apologies... A headache hinders judgement, and as much as you might think me paranoid, I would call it being prudent." And with that, he sheathed his dirk. He sighed, feeling terrible, both in pain and somewhat depressed. He turned a dirk to a friend of Saira's. To him, that was a baaaad blunder. "Kimara, it's not easy to explain what we're about to do; I'm not exactly anxious to spill the beans. But if anyone else wants to spill, I trust their judgment; I can barely trust mine apart from friend or foe..." And he backed up a step, taking a seat.

When Len stepped back, Saira opened her mouth to speak, but Sarora cast her a glance, gently silencing her with a thought. She let out a puff of frosty air in a short sigh.
I will do it. It will be faster. Saira nodded, somewhat grateful, and also took a step to the side.
The dragon focused then on Kimara and him only, sending him their entire recent situation: Len's predicament, and their adamant resolve to go with him. She sent a briefing of their discussion, and all her feelings of the plan. They would go even if it meant death, because neither of them would let Len go alone. She gave him their feelings on the matter, the thought that even if they had no chance they would go.
I hope you understand the decision, Sarora said after she'd finished. It is going against what you said. But there is not much choice in the matter. If one went, they all did.

I just said I wasn't anxious - doesn't mean I wasn't going to, outright. But, since you've blown everything open, trusting your judgment is a must on my end. I'm not complaining, really. This isn't my scenario alone, since you two wish to be involved. Potentially three, though I would prefer not; I'm not sure how the other dragons will take to a group. But, whatever comes, comes. The only thing I can do is deal with it appropriately. Len's thought train came across quick.
(( No actions made, so no action seen. ))

Kimara stayed still and silent while Sarora's thought process washed over the mind. Kimara digested it while Len thought back. True, the mission didn't go against any piece of advice Kimara had given, but it didn't make sense either.
Kimara turned to Len. "I am not sure I understand why you are convinced you have to do this. Sarora's thoughts do not really explain the "why" of the situation. Maybe you could make it more clear for me?"
