((Sorry; tried to thing of better, but nothing came up.)) Len shuddered. He'd forgotten the wind until just now. "N-Now that you m-mention it..." And he huddled beside Saira for warmth, and better protection from the wind. "It's gotten colder..." He wasn't pushy, but he wasn't too subtle, either. He was a little edgy on letting go of a footing, but he couldn't be on his feet all day. Not possible at all.

((Your name change confused me momentarily )) Saira curled closer into Len, putting her head on his shoulder. It was nice to be able to just be, without having to do anything, or having the immediate need of fixing or deciding something. It was kind of forced - they didn't have a choice but to do nothing. But it was a good thing, not a negative one. She sighed. Maybe waiting the ride out wouldn't be so long.

Len appreciated the calm. The silence. The wind blowing, the sights that he saw; he didn't let any bit of it go to waste. He appreciated Saira the most, of all things. It was her nearness that allowed him to be to calm about being on the back of a dragon. He was still a greenhorn on dragonback, but by no means was he greenhorn on silence; he'd learned to partake in it for hours or days at a time. He'd still never get used to the feeling of being on the dragonback, but trying now was all that he could do. Unlike Saira, he was accustomed to being limited for a long time.
(( Sorry for going in circles. ))

They rode for a long time, all day and then about an hour before Sarora growled and abruptly wheeled sideways, banking sharply left. Saira was jerked out of a comfortable laze and grabbed Len's arm. She could tell that nothing serious was wrong, but Sarora explained herself anyways.
Just a group of human hunters, She said. They were flying low, skimming the trees, where it was warmer at night than up in the clouds. If they'd been seen, there was no indication of it. She sat up straighter, peering around them.
"I've never been this way before," She said. Nor have I, but I hear that there are other annoying flying beasts, so both of you keep your eyes open. She could handle other beasts, but if a human saw the fight, there would be now way to get through the land unseen once word spread. We will stop soon for the night, if neither of you care either way. I do not mind flying all night, but in a land I do not know I would prefer to do most of the traveling by day.

Len shook his head. "Bad idea to travel by day; the population gets thicker from here out, and anyone traveling by night definately won't see a dragon in the sky. It's best if we travel by night and rest by day; we do risk the chance of being ambushed, but we're closer to my specialty; night-only living. We need to take caution, though; we're probably heading through a rough patch, if my guesses are right. Probably would be at this time of the year. Flying low is a bad idea during the day. No archers wander about the night without an intention, and no other thing can harm you, so it's much safer to travel then. It just means we'll need to take an extra day or two to adjust, which is fine. We're not on any sort of time limit."
Len had more bad experiences with the day then the night, and he was right; not only were they flying over a patch he'd be hunted for in, it was probably the busiest time of the year, if not the second-busiest. Late summer always brought a lot of trade in preparation for winter. They were on the earlier cusp of that timeframe, but it'd get warmer as they went, traffic-wise.
(( Yay! Something to work with! ))

Sarora nodded. Right. I will fly through the night, then, and come morning I will find a place to stay that is well hidden. She wasn't tired in the least, and wouldn't have a problem with flying through the day higher in the sky, but both humans were due for a break, and they all had to get used to doing most activity by night. She could feel the amount of people that were below them. She flew as silently as an , the only sound being the whoosh of air her wings made during the occasional wing flap. The draft caused by her flying rustled the trees slightly they were so low. "Then, if there are all those people down there..." Saira said, now in a crouching position. "What will they do if we are spotted?" She asked quietly, paranoid that if there were people out there they would hear her.

Len shrugged. "Who knows? They could ignore it, or word can spread, and things can look a bit sticky from there on. You never know the apple's colour until the tree is planted. In this case, we're too high for the tree to be easily planted. We should be fine. There's little more we can do, so let's stop worrying about it. We have to worry more about staying awake until dawn tomorrow." And I have a feeling that's going to be a pain in the neck...

Saira nodded, settling back down a bit. Do not worry. None of them have seen us, and none of them will see us if all goes well. She knew it to be true - For her size, Sarora could glide in silent as an if need be (which had lead to more than one scare before, even being mindlinked.) So, unless there was some freak accident, they should be relatively safe. Saira yawned, having the same thoughts as Len. It was going to be hard to stay awake. "Well... If no one will see us, there wouldn't be much harm in sleeping, would there?" She asked.

Len shook his head. "It's best if we stay at attention and don't fall off..." And he had to be daring enough to move off on his own - to let the cold kick the fatigue away for now, and let them last a bit longer; every little bit counted. "Sorry for cooling you off, but it'll help us stay awake a bit longer. That way, even though we can't get easily spotted, we can at least not risk rolling off." I really hate doing dehabilitating things to make sure the plan works...

Saira approached Len after stretching out a bit. She wrapped the cloak neatly around herself, fending off the worst of the wind. Sarora did her best to fly smoothly, cutting back on the gusts from her wings, gliding long distances before beating her wings again. They didn't gain height, but rather stayed level, the dragon's energy going into making it as far as possible before morning.
"If you sleep, Sarora won't let you fall," She said, "If you're sure that we won't be spotted. But there is still the chance, so I wouldn't advise it, since you haven't ridden dragonback much." Without experience, if they were spotted and Sarora had to make a sudden turn, the outcome would likely not be great. She was silent a moment, watching the landscape fly by in a dizzying blur. They really were going quite fast.
"Next time you're stable, look up," She said. The sky was more clear up in the air than it ever was on ground, even on the darkest nights. It looked like shards of glass thrown into the sky. "We do have a long way ahead of us until we can sleep, so we might as well enjoy it, right?"

Len soon nodded, and looked up. He'd seen the stars many times before, but they were vibrant. Everywhere. Stunning. He'd turned this way and that, basically navigating. They were going the perfect direction. "Okay... ...Ah, so much better to see the stars, and navigate here..." He was joyed by the sights, smiling with an open mouth. "Finally, I see a bigger part of the picture of the stars... It's speech-ridding... I can't describe it..." He didn't have much to say. If he'd said any more, he would sound like a moron. I can't even envy you guys, I like this so much!

Saira grinned.
"I knew you would like it. Sunrises are pretty brilliant too, but I think this beats it. And when the moon is out.." She trailed off. Tonight, the moon was gone, leaving them in utter darkness except for the light that the stars provided. But when it was full, hanging in the sky, it casted everything in pale yellow - it was haunting.
"Some day, when we have time, we can get closer," She said. It was almost like you could reach up and touch them. "But for now we'll stay low and focus on being awake. I find that the stars make it easier most nights, because I never want to stop looking at them."

Len had barely heard Saira, watching the stars contently. He dared not reach; he knew he'd end up falling, and that was what they least needed, but he still looked up, turning this way and this now and again as he looked about, still smiling. There was no question; he was going to be up for hours. He loved the stars before, and now, the feeling was massive. Not as massive as his feelings for Saira, but still huge.
[[I'll let you control the time passage. Len's good 'til morning.]]

Saira easily walked up the length of Sarora's back and sat in the slight dip where her neck met her shoulders, leaning back into the curve if the Dragon's body. Len was completely absorbed in looking at the stars, and she contented herself with watching the landscape in front of them rush at them. Sarora thrummed softly, a sound of joy.
It wasn't all that long (At least, it didn't seem it) before the stars gave way to the red-orange tide of the sunrise as it sent its first rays over the horizon. Saria stood, stretching, and walked back to Len, yawning. He was probably even more tired - he'd been standing for a while.
"Does it matter where we touch down?" She asked. They didn't have to immediately, but once the sun itself showed Sarora would reflect the light like each scale was made of glass. She wasn't sure what it was about the sun in the mornings, but it was worst then - during the day it was a bit less noticeable. One had to be blind to miss it, however, and she didn't know who was down in the woods.

Len shook his head. "Not really, as long as we can make a nicely concealed camp during the morning so we're less apt to get spotted by passers-by... A ravine would be best if you can help it, but I doubt there's many of those. So whatever floats the boat, really." Sarora, I'm leaving the judgment to you. He readied himself for anything, his attentrion finally off of the stars.
