Len smiled. "I would only expect them to talk peace. I care not about anything more - living is the very thing I would wish for, from them, were they to grant anything..." He shrugged. "I don't really care to make expectations of good news. The more you expect good news, the more apt you are to be disappointed." He sighed. The day wasting away was beginning to get to him.

Sarora nodded thoughtfully. I wouldn't doubt they would talk about peace, She began. But I am not so sure about that if we are present. She sent brief flashes of what the reaction was when she brought Saira back, nothing more than a small, terrified child. They weren't something that was at all "peaceful." I hope they have the mindset to think straight and logically, but I can make no guarantees.

Len shook his head. "That's another part of the reason why I wanted you and Saira to stay back, Sarora. If you're around, you may end up exciting them, and ultimately, I'm the one to blame for the whole mess." ...Because I accepted the price, despite knowing I could be paying with death. "The way I see it, why ruin three lives when things go wrong when you can only ruin just one when things go wrong?"
But you two have already said it a few times too many already. You're set and intent on going with me, and I'm giving up on trying on that. You two are as stubborn as an Elf... ...it's about time I stopped even thinking about it, and just got into business... ...as soon as I can, mind you... ...having a perforated foot isn't helping any...

I know it would excite them Sarora said softly. But where Siara goes, I will go. And as I'm sure you know, she's more stubborn than an elf. The dragon curled up, keeping focus on Len, and sighed, before thinking of something.
Siara. The dragon summoned the girl, who walked over with curiosity. She wanted to know what they'd been talking about but didn't ask, knowing to respect privacy. You and I both know Len does not with us to come. And you and I both know we will not stay away. But what if, when we get closer to our destination, we fall back two days? Saira scowled, but looked thoughtful.
"Just two?" She said, her mind working slowly.
Two. It gives him time to go alone. A compromise. Slowly, Saira nodded.
"Okay," She said, and looked at Len. "If it's okay with Len, of course." Sarora looked over to him. I think that's about the best I'll be able to do. Maybe when we're there i can add a day or two.

Len nodded. "A suitable compromise. Perfect in timing, since I'll be too stubborn to die so quickly, and you'd be able to tell from two days away that hell has broken loose. And that would be if it has. If it hasn't, then it'd be safe for you to go ahead anyways." And if it wasn't, I'd simply go back anyways, and give warning. "But really, we should kinda wait until the steps before then unfold; there's too many possibilities to consider."

of course, Sarora agreed. And first, we have to let you get healed. Your foot is burned pretty badly, you'll need to rest before we do anything. Right now we should rest, try to get up strength - it's going to be a long journey.
"Is there anything we can get to maybe help yourfoot get better?" Saira asked, sitting on her knees. She was restless. "Some kind of herb, maybe?"

Len shook his head, sighing. "I really wish there was, but a fix that'd make things go faster doesn't really exist for something this small." Little did he know that Saira's three books would point to a healing, since his entire foot wasn't lost. However, the healing, itself, would take time and energy away, and still total to nearly the same amount of waiting anyways.
(( Feel free to skip ahead to tomorrow. Nothing planned on my end, for the rest of the RP day. ))

Siara nodded, resigned, also not even thinking about the three books. She'd put them to the back of her mind in the past few days. With nothing more to do, she waited. The next day was pouring rain. Sarora was asleep, with one wing extended to cover the sleeping humans, not in the least affected by the rain herself. The grass around the dragon's nose was frozen from her icy breath. Saira woke at a particularly loud crack of thunder, looking around. The cloud covering made it dark, but not so much she couldn't see. The rain was coming down fairly heavy, and occasionally flashes of lightening lit up the sky. she pulled her cloak around her, a bit cold. It would be hard to get much done in weather. She waited for Len to wake, hoping his foot as doing at least a little better. Rain was a good cover for not being seen, since no one was ever out in the rain.

Len stirred at Saira slightly moving, and mumbled in his sleep, cuddling closer to the female. "Come back 'ere..." He was helping with the heat, surprisingly, a slight fever only arising due to recovering from his acid burn. He added more "Yer comfy..." It was beyond obvious he liked every bit of Saira, even in his sleep. Their earlier actions at the volcano didn't help that cause, either.

Saira blushed slightly, glad it was still dark to hide it, even if Len was still asleep. She scooted over, closer to the sleeping figure. He was warm, compared with thec cold wind that accompanied the driving rain - only a mild fever. She was used to cold - Heck, she lived on the Ridge for a while - but that didn't make it pleasant. Yawning, still rubbing sleep from her eyes, she laid down again. As long as Len was still sleeping, she could relax still. No need to hurry waing up.
Thunder crashed again, making her jump, a bit startled, then called herself a fool. Just a storm. Nonetheless, she wrapped Len's hand in her own - the last few monhs had definitely made her more jumpy than she felt she should be, even with a dragon present. Sighing, she watched the trees light up, back outlines against the white of he lightening. It was soothing, the sound of the rain. She wished she could stay here forever, nothing more to endanger any of them. But of course, that was an impossibility, and she knew it. There was always danger, in one form or another. Always.

Len remained asleep near Saira, sleeping at a slight length to recover, and to wait out the nasty part of the storm. "Mmm..." He nuzzled Saira in his sleep, though he didn't realize that it was her chest that he was nuzzling. There was a bliss in not knowing, right? Either way, hilarity was bound to ensue. Hopefully, hilarity that would wake Len up from his dream of cuddling Saira.
(( Sorry about this one... ...I thought I'd posted... ;-; ))

Saira let out a startled cry and jumped a bit. Sarora came instantly awake, a low growl rumbling the ground, her eyes narrow frosty slits. A thought of confusion flickered over her as she realized the absence of danger, and then a questioning thought, her eyes scanning the trees and the sky, then coming to rest on the two human figures.
Saira was bright red, her face hot, and she stammered, "It was.. nothing, I just ... I must have..." And she lost her trail of speech. Of course, the dragon instantly understood, having a direct mind link, and her questioning air changed to amusement, her saucer like eyes flicking to the sleeping Len. She shifted, so Len was differently positioned, and tried again, though the coverup was paper thin to Sarora.
"It.. Must have been a bad dream? it must have startled me." It didn't help that the end sounded like a hesitant question, either.

Len, as soon as Saira jumped, snapped awake, and released Saira as he drew one of his knives. He was about to make an aimless slice, but stopped on realizing that Sarora might've been nicked, and that nothing else was around. Once the mistaken thought of hostiles left him, he glared at Saira. "Cut off a sweet dream..." The good news was that his foot was good to go.

She apologized meekly at the glare. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." She said, cutting her gaze to the ground. She didn't say what had startled her, just rose to a squatting position. "Your foot looks better than it did," She said, changing the subject. "Good enough to walk on?"
She stood then, glancing at Len to see if the glare remained. "Otherwise we can stay a bit longer, I am sure it doesn't matter one more day..."

Len took a moment to mull things over, and felt it better to press on, but he heard a voice, and a rather strong one. Stay. Whoa... ...alright, guess that's my answer... "Yeah... ...staying another day might be smart, in case there's something internal, or something stupid of the sort." He took the time to put his blade in its sheath. "Gimme a little bit to fully wake up, and I'll get to breakfast, I guess..." Len sighed. Almost like the old days, but without the crowd this time. and with someone I can't do without, and with a rather large dragon that nobody will be telling me to go at.
