Saira offered a smile.
"Let me get it," She said, standing. "I can make breakfast." she started preparing food they could eat, and Sarora took wing to go hunt with a promise that if anyone saw her they wouldn't remain alive long enough to tell anyone - and then a dragon grin, followed by, "No worried - no one will see me."
"Internal?" She questioned. "How well can you walk?" She had heard of wounds that healed on the surface, but festered underneath until the limb was usually rendered useless and had to be cut off - avoidable by simply re-opening the wound and applying more salve than last time. Wounds had to heal from the inside out- not the other way around. And she could see how something that caused a wound like that might be deeper than originally thought.

Len tested his foot, and almost danced on it. "Okay, yeah, I can walk on it, but no jumps or anything that'll test my limits." He sighed. "Just have to wait for the muscle to kinda ease back into place, It's not something to massage, though, because of the slight burn." He knew acids well, and they were typically clean. Any wound they left behind was bound to be clean. Sarora has it easy; she could probably chomp someone a little larger than me whole, and call it breakfast... ...or an appetizer...

Sarora grinned, the echo of the not-so-well guarded thought drifting to her, as she wasn't very far off.
Easy? She asked. yes, I could probably snack on a few humans for an appetizer, but living my whole life in hiding gets a bit old. Besides, she added as an afterthought, Humans don't taste very good. Too stringy. She passed directly overhead, the gust of abrupt wind causing Saira to shiver once before settling again.
Saira finished making breakfast, and offered some to Len. "I don't think you should walk on it yet," She said, a hint of worry playing over her face. "I think we should wait until it is fully healed, for sure." She glanced over to him, daring him to argue. Waiting a bit longer would be good for the wound.

Len nodded, not knowing he was about to disappoint a dare. "It's fine if I walk a little, but travel? Not a wise idea." He took the breakfast, and smiled. "Thanks." He began eating through his food, though taking his time. He pondered a bit on Sarora's words. Stringy? That actually makes a bit of sense, and might explain a few flexibility quirks... ...Though I wonder how a string can be 'bouncy'... He drew blanks on ideas, but the fact he was comparing himself to a string would prove amusing to some.

Saira frowned again.
"No," She said flatly. "At least another day of two. You may be able to walk, but it's still the better idea to wait until it is completely well." She sat next to him. "What if it was me? You would say the same thing" She didn't really know if he would. Heck, maybe he would in fact want them to move on. However, she kept the look of determination solid on her face.

Len blinked at Saira being stern for no reason, then realized she misheard him, as if to ignore the fact he agreed with her. "Yeah, I know, Saira, and I know I'd say the same thing. What, you think I'd rush this that much? Yeesh, something this big? You need to take time to prepare. I 'unno where you're getting the rush from..." He had finished his food, and leaned into Saira. "So since we have downtime, let's enjoy it a little, right?" He was being optimistic, which was a good sign.

Saira blushed a bit.
"Oh..." She said. "I'd thought.. Never mind." She finished, as Sarora came gliding back into the clearing nearly silently, other than the blast of wind that rustled the tree leaves. Not very good hunting here, She growled. The humans seem to be doing a thorough job of emptying the forest. If they keep up at this rate, they won't have any more food.
Not that you just helped very much, Saira sent the amused thought. You probably cut their remaining food in half.
I have not, the dragon rumbled indignantly. I wouldn't be that inconsiderate.
Saira crossed her legs, looking around. "Well, I suppose that means we have a lot of time to kill." She said. "And if we want to eat, it will probably be a hard hunt."

Len nodded. "We'll need the free time for hunting. And as I said earlier, I can walk on my foot, but I can't dance on it, or anything like that." He sighed. "All I can do is manage a campfire, and I have plenty of ways to maange that, what with the massive amount of supplies in my backpack... His thoughts then went to Sarora. If you can clean this forest out like that, Sarora, power to you. It isn't very hospitable, as far as I can tell.
(( FINALLY! ;A; ))

You are right, there are many nasty things in the forest that I don't think you would want to meet. She passed overhead again. I will bring you something to eat so neither of you need to go hunting, and I will keep anything that shows too much interest away from you. She sent them a flash of lurking figures in the trees and a large creature with very sharp teeth. It didn't look very friendly at all. If you tried to find food here, likely you would end up being the hunted rather than the hunter.
It wasn't long until she brought a species of large rodent type animal that Saira had never seen before. Saira set to work skinning it. She was unnerved by the mental images, and would be glad for a fire and something to focus on.

Len took off his backpack, and made quick work of making a rather foul-smelling-at-first fire. He used one drop of one thing, and one drop of another thing, and had those materials put away. He sighed, and looked over to Saira skinning a pervent rat; known for its unusually scaly legs. He had a hint. "Cut the tail off, then along the back, to the head, and remove the head. The rest just pulls out." Thank you, Sarora, for helping us avoid having our legs clawed to confetti.
(( I'm presed for time, sorry. =/ ))

Saira complied with the instructions, making a slight face. The creature's blood was a think, sickly red color that smelled awful.
"This is safe to eat, right?" She muttered sarcastically, though she knew that Sarora wouldn't have brought them something that was inedible. She could smell sickness in animals very accurately. Once she cut off the tail and head, it took only a few more minutes to finish skinning it into manageable strips that she put over the fire, that now smelled pleasantly like a normal fire. She dug around in a pocket and brought out a packet of tea leaves.
"Do you want tea?" She said. It wasn't a common thing for her, really, but she really liked it. She didn't drink it often because it was hard to get more, but now would be a good time for it.

Len nodded. "Wise idea; it would warm the area up a little more, and we'd take on a little heat from the tea itself, not to mention we can at least enjoy the act of resisting the chill, too." He smiled to Saira. "That, and I haven't had tea in some time. It's always best to enjoy tea with those you are close to." His smile was smug by this point, a confident thought remaining locked within his head. I really doubt many people will get any closer to each other than what Saira and I are.

Saira finished the tea, then handed a cup to Len. It was very hot - steam swirled up from the rim of the cup, and holding it in her hands warmed them rather pleasant way. She took a sip and cringed, then blew lightly into the cup. She had thoughts somewhat along the same lines, though she didn't know it.
how did normal people spend time together? It must be boring, doing housework all day. And what do the men do? Certainly nothing as exciting as what Len does.

Len smiled, and took the tea with a bit of grace. "Thank you." He held onto the tea, however, allowing it to cool. In the meantime, he accepted the tea's warmth as his thoughts ran on. Everyone in town is so tame... ...I can kinda understand with the guys always having to find work, but honestly, living a wilder life isn't all bad; you never have to worry about privacy, really, and it's so open! I don't like being cramped up in houses and all that crud. I could live in one, maybe, but I'd certainly not be in it too often.

Saira mulled over her thoughts a bit more, then abruptly asked, "Have you ever lived in a house? I know you don't now, but have you ever before in your life?" She was curious... If he had, what was it like? She remembered it very vaguely, but she didn't have very many clear memories of living with her family. Was it like she was thinking, or was it better? Her curiosity showed on her face, though it was more an idle thing. Whether or not it was the life that everyone wanted to lead, she liked living outside. Besides, where would Sarora go?
