Vengeance and Lunch }{ PM Renkhal to Join

Renkhal frowned and, momentarily ignoring everyone, stood in front of Auron.

"Does you territory reach the far end of the lake? That is where I go next, and if you need to leave with the younglings here and go elsewhere, then that is fine. I will go there and continue my search," Renkhal told him.

He turned to the "younglings."

"Hurry up and shoulder that. Auron needs all of you to leave immediately," he told them, officially in, as Auron had put it, "Captain" mode. Once he was certain that they were all busy, he turned to Kaia.

"You don't have to stay, if you don't want to. Auron hasn't been exactly been very welcoming of your presence. You are welcome to join me, whether they come or not." He looked back at the younglings.

"Well, what are you all standing there for?"

[Kaia]

Kaia seemed a bit bewildered. She usually traveled alone, but the way Renkhal smelled... So much seemed to happen though, with her meeting him. She had already been unnoticed by Auron's species thus far. She wondered what had changed. It was obvious that, now discovered, she and these others were unwelcome.

"She will be tortured and burned to death while you would be eaten alive by our pets... That is, if you get caught. My duty is to kill her, if I fail this duty my tongue shall be cut out.. And lets be honest Ren... I'm not losing my tongue, so we leave... NOW."

Kaia ignored Auron's underestimation of her abilities. She was capable, maybe for not many of his species, but if it came down to it... "The tadpole wants us out. I have better things to do anyway." Kaia said, giving Auron a look.

This was coming in between her and her mission.

"You don't have to stay, if you don't want to. Auron hasn't been exactly been very welcoming of your presence. You are welcome to join me, whether they come or not." Auron told her.

Kaia smiled softly at him, her ears relaxing a bit. "If you don't mind... I wouldn't mind having some company."

"Well, what are you all standing there for?" She looked back at the others with him, after he asked. She shrugged and stood beside Renkhal.

Jett after a couple of hours of working on his clothes and just kind of squandering off doing his thing decided to find his newly found buds.

"Well what are you standing there for"

"Hey guys sorry for wandering off just doing my own thing; I hope all has been well with everyone. Auron, any sweet stories of you freaking anybody out or anything lately. Nick buddy how is your personal mission about finding you know your stuff if you will...Haaa anyway you all must think I'm talking too much and I must have been you know been sampling the herbs."


Jett then took out his blade randomly looked at and all the thought about for a second about his distrubing vision of the land just burning on fire. Thinking about it, he squandered with the idea of telling everyone about his vision. Jett had a random feeling about everybody as if something was different with his new comrads. While sheating his sword looked at everybody then realized there was a new face.

"Hello, stranger I don't think we have met I'm Jett a Night Elf; I hope you haven't had any problems with our hot headed super strength friend Auron here. He can be a dusy. Before you get ticked my slithering friend I'm not trying to insult you. Who all agrees that we should start heading out to find some decent shelter somewhere with all this crazy fog coming in."

As Kagami walked closer to where Nickolas was taking care of the boar she had killed, she couldn’t help but think, “Wow… he really is amazing…” She smiled.
“Hey, welcome back!” Kagami heard Nickolas say to her as he stood up from his once relaxed position. She turned to look at him and she gave him a quick smile as she fumbled with everything in her arms. "Here, let me take those and get them skinned."

Kagami looked down remembering the rabbits. “Oh, yeah, sure.” She answered as he took the rabbits from her arms. Kagami sat the sticks down on the ground and started to set them up for a fire.

"Er, would you like to start the fire?" Nickolas asked her. Kagami looked over to him to see him handing a flint stone and dagger out to her.

“Sure? I mean if you would like me to…” Kagami said questioning his offer. She grabbed the flint and dagger from him and smiled. She turned toward the pile of sticks, and was about to start the fire when she heard a familiar coming up behind them.

Kagami recognized the stomping as Auron… “What’s his problem now?” Kagami asked to Nickolas giggling. "were leaving... NOW dont worry about food we need to leave." She heard Auron say as he hurried up to them.

“You guys wanted food, and I worked I disagree off to get it, we are not leaving without eating something first.” Kagami argued. Kagami followed Auron’s gaze to Renkhal and then noticed a panther beside her.

“Hey, who’s the cat?” Kagami asked.

Renkhal was the one who answered, but he didn’t answer her question, "Hurry up and shoulder that. Auron needs all of you to leave immediately,”

“Um… food for one. Two, he doesn’t own this forest. Three, who in the hell is the cat?” Kagami thought to herself. She rolled her eyes.

"Well, what are you all standing there for?" Kagami looked at Renkhal with a pissed off expression. She stood up and looked over at Nickolas, are you coming? We can take the food with us and cook it later…” Kagami suggested to him, really hoping that he would follow. She looked back over to Renkhal and saw the feline like creature standing next to him. She almost felt jealous, but she couldn't have everyone, even though sometimes she wished she could, it would just make things easier for her. That cat was going to give her problems and she knew it.

"He doesn't own it, but his kind live in this area. They see it as their territory," Renkhal told Kagami shortly. "This is Kaia. Now, Auron, take the boar. Unless you're not coming and I'll do it." He threw Nickolas a small pack from his own pack. "Nick, put the rabbits in that. I'll take it when you're done. And... leave the sticks, we can find more later."

He turned to Jett.

"You- What the hell are you doing here again?" He frowned and shook his head. "Forget that, I need you to take point. We're heading to the far end of the lake, if everyone is going with me and Kaia. We'll need to keep going even when dark hits, if only for a few hours, and your eyes will be the best to lead us."

[nickolas]

"What are you standing there for?" Renkhal asked.

Nickolas frowned, glaring at the older warrior.

And I idolized this man?

He didn't get a chance to speak, though, when Kagami spoke.

"Um... food for one. Two, he doesn't own this forest. Three, who in the hell is the cat?"

Nickolas was curious about the other girl, too. He had never seen a girl with feline attributes before. He looked at Kagami, who was looking at him.

"Are you coming?" she asked. "We can take the food and cook it later..."

"That would probably be the best option," he agreed. He saw her look at Renkhal, thinking she was waiting for further commands, so he looked over too.

"This is Kaia. Now, Auron, take the boar. Unless you're not coming and I'll do it."

Nickolas barely registered the small pack being thrown at him, and reached out to catch it just before it hit him in the face.

"Nick, put the rabbits in that. I'll take it when you're doen. And... leave the sticks, we can find more later."

"It's Nickolas, not Nick," he grumbled, even as he did what he was told. He knew that no matter how angry he was at the warrior, he would most likely do as he was told just because he really did idolize him. The older warrior was like his father in a way, and he wanted to learn from him too.

"Here's the rabbits," he mumbled, walking over to Renkhal and handing him the pack.

[Kaia]

As all those things proceeded to happen, Kaia just stared off. She couldn't help but feel like the oddball here. I mean, everyone's comments made it out to be that way. She was all of a sudden skeptical at remaining with this group of people. She could fare off better alone. But, she did admit that now she was discovered by Auron... traveling alone would not be the best idea.

So, she ignored everyone's questions. They accept Auron and he was much more different than she. At least she looked human. She twitched her ears at this thought. Well, for the most part...

She kind of backed up from the group of people, and took a place behind Renkhal. Even thought she just met this man, she felt more at home by his side than with these strangers.

[auron]

"Here's the rabbits,"


Auron sniffed the air...

"Damn it, if you want to at least live for a little while longer... then just go down easy. The poison will knock you out, but no harming effects... if you resist they will kill you on the spo....

Just as Auron was about to finish his sentence about 40 snake men who looked just like Auron only slot smaller held two bows each all drawn back with jagged arrows... another voice shoots through the trees...

"Oh little Auron... i catch you in trouble again... are these your friends? well it really does not matter how do they wish to proceed in this?

Auron looks at the group with digust...


"Play it smart... very very smart"

Renkhal scowled, stepping in front of Kaia but knowing it was pointless. He wished they had a little more notice so that she could escape, and maybe Kagami, but that wasn't an option anymore.

"What do you want from us?" he asked gruffly, but made sure to keep his posture slightly submissive. The last thing he needed was to have all 40 of them attack just because he looked like he was going to. "And, can the two younglings and the woman behind me leave? They have nothing to do with Auron. If anyone does, it is me."

He was sure that the tactic would fail, but it didn't keep him from trying. It was his fault for not being quicker about getting everyone moving. If he had listened to Auron more seriously, he would have just grabbed the boar and started walking, with or without the younglings.

And because of this, he was getting Kaia dragged into something she shouldn't have been involved in. None of them should have been involved in this, really.

But now that they were surrounded by snake men, it seemed they were being forced to deal with them.

The Orichi that seemed to be in command sneered at Renkhal. "You dare to trespass on our lands, and make demands of us?"

"Not demands, only queries," Renkhal corrected calmly.

"None of you shall be released," was the response. Renkhal felt his shoulders droop; of course it would be hopeless. And now that there were six companions to worry about instead of two Renkhal realized that his thoughts of distracting the Orichi so that Kaia could escape seemed childish. He should have known better. "You will be escorted to our tribal leader."

He made a motion, and several of them walked out with shackles. Renkhal winced. He sent an apologetic look to Kaia; he was happy to have met her, but to have pulled into this situation... It was in that sense that he wished he hadn't. Or, that he hadn't been impatient about his companions and their return.

"I'm sorry, Kaia. I wish I could have..." he shook his head. If the snake men heard him, they might not be happy with what he would have done in another situation. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you better."

That said, he let the Orichi put the shackles on his wrists.

Everything went black afterwards when the same Orichi knocked him out.

[Kaia]

What was she thinking? She should have left immediately. "Eh, men..." Kaia thought to herself, sighing.

"And, can the two younglings and the woman behind me leave? They have nothing to do with Auron. If anyone does, it is me."

This caught her attention. He was willing to sacrifice himself for people he didn't even know very well. And for her, whom he just. Kaia felt bad, if this were her she would have just dropped everything and left, but she also felt the need to stay and support her new friend and also his companions. If he was willing to save them, so was she. Maybe she would eventually be able to put her assasination skills to the test.

"You will be escorted to our tribal leader."

Great... Shackles again.

"I'm sorry, Kaia. I wish I could have..." he shook his head. If the snake men heard him, they might not be happy with what he would have done in another situation. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you better."

"It's okay, I'm so--" Orichi had knocked Renkhal out before she could finish. Then he turned to her. Kaia didn't fight back, she knew she could escape later. Being able to transform would help.

Outside the cave, near the edge of the Lake a girl with long pink hair was running. She glanced behind her, purple eyes staring at several demons in pursuit of her.

She sighed dramatically and threw up her arms. "Would it kill these demons to leave me alone for just ONE day? Would it really be that bad?!" She heard a sound to her left and she cursed, stopping in her tracks and spinning as more demons emerged from the brush.

Laraine Lockner Risk grasped a hold of her crystal wand and pointed it at the nearest demon. Her eyes aflame magic sparked from her wand towards the nearest demon.

All the demons attacked at once. She focused all her magic and the area around her exploded in light. The demons around her vaporized into dust, while others backed off but were seriously injured.

Once the light faded, Raine made her escape. She ran through the forest closer to where the group was. That was when she noticed she was wounded in her right arm. She grasped it tightly as she got closer and closer, breathing heavily and almost on the brink of unconsciousness.

But when she broke through to where they were she stopped dead in her tracks.

Nickolas was trying really hard to look brave, he really was. It wasn't his fault that he wasn't sure how to respond to 40 freaking snake things staring him down. He could barely handle Auron! However, he could look the coward with Kagami right there. It was just not acceptable.

Gulping, he straightened up and followed Renkhal's lead. The guy was ready to give himself in, and even to sacrifice himself for everyone. Sure, he wasn't a martyr, but just knowing that the guy was willing meant a lot to the young warrior. It made Nickolas only admire him more as a warrior. He decided then that he would protect Kagami with just as much vigor as Renkhal was going to protect the other woman, Kaia.

He looked at Kagami as the Orichi came up to him. She was the last thing he saw before they knocked him out, too.

Kagami followed after Nickolas as he handed the pack of rabbits to Renkhal. She heard a noise in the bushes around them, and Kagami's heart stopped, knowing that that wasn't no little creature. She then heard a unfamiliar voice say, "Oh little Auron... i catch you in trouble again... are these your friends? Well it really does not matter, how do they wish to proceed in this?" The lead snake man asked.

Auron then said, "Play it smart... very very smart"

"Um... I don't wish to proceed. If this is because of that stupid cat, take her! We don't want it!" They all just looked at her like she was crazy and began putting everyone in shackles, as Renkhal tried to talk them out of taking Kagami, Nickolas, and the cat. Although his actions failed, it was a nice attempt. Kagami looked over as they shackled Renkhal and with one hit they knocked him unconscious to the ground. Kagami looked at Nickolas with fear in her eyes as one guard put the cuffs around him and another around her. She saw Nickolas' guard lift his hand, "No!" Kagami screamed as the creature hit Nickolas in the head, he fell to the ground as Kagami's eyes filled with tears. She fell to her knees beside Nickolas and the other creature hit her too. She lay beside Nickolas tears streaking down her cheeks.

[jett]

Whens the snake people showed up and started freakn out Jett said one thing,"UM, no big deal and all but i hate cats. So, does that mean I'm good?"

[auron]

The Orichi took their time knocking out the humans, the elf, and the flea bag. Sosuke, the leader of this squad came up to Auron smiling.

"Oh little brother your in big trouble."

Auron snickered,

"Fantastic its not fun coming home until you have told father a lie that some how gets me into trouble. you know... its a shame im older then you and will get the thrown... it makes all your ass kissing actions rather funny.

Sosuke went into a rage punching holes into tree and cursing at Auron. Auron smiled as the humans, Jett, and Miss. Flea bag were taken away.

"lets go home"



Hours later the party wakes up in a great hall surrounded by snake people cheering. they look to see Auron standing not far from them. Sitting there in the chair, in the middle of the hall sat a giant snake. No doubt he was the leader the snake stood up reveling scars all over his body, stretching all 6 of his arms.

he raised his hand and the yelling and chatter turned to whispers.

"Tell me humans... why my son would request we just let you go... and you!

he pointed to Kaia

"I know you know never to trespass in our land, i mean how many of your kind have we slain?... So please let me know whats on all your minds?

he looked at them eager waiting to here their responses
