Vengeance and Lunch }{ PM Renkhal to Join

It was warm enough that Renkhal didn't have to wear his cloak, but the moisture from the fog was cool against his skin. He looked around, but saw nothing through the thick atmosphere. Wanting to be safe rather than sorry, he pulled out his sword and held it in front of him, walking cautiously forward.

After about twenty feet, he stumbled upon Lonea Lake. He had finally reached the area he wanted to be in. The day was still early, but not so early that the fog wasn't at it's thickest around the water's edge. He pulled out a waterskin from his sack and stepped up to the lake to fill it back up.

Taking a swig of water, Renkhal looked around the immediate area. He couldn't really do what he needed to do with the fog as thick as it was. Sighing, he sheathed his sword, sat down next to a rock, and leaned back against it, pulling out some bread, dried meat, and cheese breakfast. He would start searching the area as soon as the worst of the fog lifted.

as the morning progresses, Auron spots what looks to be like a weary traveler. He sneaks up cautiously getting ready to pounce on the totally unsuspecting victim. looking over the young man he realizes he could probably get more game from eating the mans food, then killing him and eating him. he probably would not have got much of a challenge seeing on how his sword was in its sheath anyway. Auron sneaks up right behind the young man, "RAWR!!!!" flailing all four of his arms extending his cobra like hood to be as scary as possible. sits down next to the man and start feasting on his dried meat.

Getting ready to take a bite of his cheese, Renkhal pauses, thinking he hears something.

"RAWR!!!!"

Renkhal jumps up as the snakeman holds out his arms and opens his hood. He drops his cheese and tries to pull out his sword but ends up falling back on his butt before he could get it out. Then, rather than attacking him, the snakeman sits down and starts going to town on the dried meat.

Confused, Renkhal backed away slowly, keeping an eye on the creature until he found himself backed into a tree.

"So are your pants dry?" Auron asks the terrified man, as he bites into his dried meat. The man touches his crotch for a couple seconds...and stutters out the word "yes" Auron looks up from the meal and says "why haven't you run yet?" The man replies with "well my pack is sitting by you, and who are you?" The snake man chuckles a bit "I am Auron and you sir are on my territory!".... Auron starts going threw the mans bag as if looking for more food, "Oh, and who are you!!" he yells at the man. "umm Renkhal" replies the young man. "Oh well Renkhal do you have any more food?"

Stretching from a sleepless night, Kagami starts back on her way through the thick forest mingled with morning fog. Barley able to see ten feet in front of her and stumbling over the undergrowth, Kagami tries to appear graceful. The smell of water filled the air as she came closer to Lonea Lake. After a long night of travel she had become quite thirsty and a drink of water seemed nice. As Kagami was about to reach the lake, she heard talking coming from the other side of the trees. She stopped and looked around. Unable to see clearly Kagami noticed a huge monstrous figure in the distance. Stunned, and wondering if the creature had already seen her first she did the first thing that came to her mind. Kagami looked up, grabbed a hold of the first branch she could reach, and up the tree she went. About half way up the tree Kagami remembered she was afraid of heights and started to feel dizzy. Looking down she saw a strange man, and hoped she was out of the monsters sight.

"QUICK Renkhal! Do your hear that?" Auron pushes him against the tree. before Renkhal can reply Auron already took off towards a couple trees. Renkhal follows Auron to find out the commotion, he see's Auron shaking down a tree and a terrified women at the top of the tree. Auron then looks back, "Renkhal!!! look FOOD!" he yells. as he starts to climb up the tree with two arms and his feet. motioning for the small girl to come to him with his other two hands , as he smiles and shows his jagged teeth.

Nickolas was freaking out.

At first it was cool to be out in the woods on his own, surviving off his own kills and sleeping when he wanted, without his mother yelling at him for staying up past midnight.

Then the first week ended and Nickolas realized he missed his village, and people in general.

"RAWR!!!"

Nickolas jumped and looked around. No, there was nothing coming after him. He wanted to know what was going on, and he wanted to prove himself as a fighter, but he didn't know what to do. Should he go toward the sound and see if there is anyone in need of assistance?

He wasn't sure what was going on, but he couldn't just leave a chance to help anyone and prove himself as a fighter and future mercenary.

Taking a deep breath, he runs toward the sound and pulls out his sword as he goes.

As he reached the clearing, he noticed the snake creature and comes to a stop just past the trees.

Standing up in the tree, holding on for dear life, Kagami screams for help. She knew that all of her former training could have helped her out at this point, but she was too scared to move.

"Someone help me!" Kagami screamed once again, hoping someone would be brave enough to help her out. It wasn't death that scared Kagami, it was the whole getting "eaten alive" ordeal that scared her. Kagami didn't know what to do, and she started losing her grip. Suddenly the tree shook so hard that Kagami fell from her perch, and landed a few branches down, barely out of the creatures reach. She then remembered the whip that was attached to her side. She took it out and with a CRACK she hit the strange creature's face.

Renkhal was so confused.

First, there's a snake man eating his food.

Then there's "food" up in the trees behind him, and Auron went after it.

He followed, and the "food" turned out to be a young female elf.

This is followed by a younger man running out into the small clearing and looking like he was staring down a giant.

Well, he kind of was. The snake man, Auron, was pretty big.

And then the woman screamed.

"Someone help me!"

Renkhal looked up and noticed the woman was hanging from the tree and smacking Auron in the face with a whip, which probably wasn't helping her cause.

"Auron, let her down! She isn't food," Renkhal said. "She's, er, a friend of mine. Since you ate all my rations, it's only fair that you spare... my companion, right?"

Nickolas was scared out of his mind. The snake creature had just called a humanoid being food, and something told him that elf woman wouldn't be enough to satisfy him, and he didn't want to be around when he decided to keep eating.

"Someone help me!"

He winced. Nickolas wanted to help, sure, but it was just one of those things where if he saved her he might become the food. To sacrifice himself for another wasn't something that he felt like doing, since the whole purpose of leaving the village was to survive.

And if surviving meant letting someone else die, then Nickolas would have to take that risk.

She was cute though, for an elf...

Sighing in defeat, Nickolas jogged close.

"Auron, let her down! She isn't food! She's, er, a friend of mine. Since you ate all my rations, it's only fair that you spare... my companion, right?" the other man asked the snake thing just as Nickolas got up next to him.

"Wait, you know that thing? What the hell, man!" he exclaimed, surprised. "It would be best just to attack it, rescue the babe, and get the out of here."

As the girl took out her whip and hit Auron in the face with it. "OUCH" Auron puts one hand over his face where the young girl wounded him. "WHY would you do that?" Auron asked the young women in a furious cry. Auron lets out a loud roar grabs the girl with 2 hands with his other hands rips the whip from her. He then throws the girl on the ground and starts ripping the whip into pieces. "Bet you didn't think that one threw yells Auron. As Auron starts yelling at the girl another man walks out into view of Auron. "Auron, let her down! She isn't food! She's, er, a friend of mine. Since you ate all my rations, it's only fair that you spare... my companion, right?" asked Renkhal. "Wait, you know that thing? What the hell, man!" he exclaimed, surprised. "It would be best just to attack it, rescue the babe, and get the out of here."... Auron turns to the new man "Exuse me?" he yells, "DO I LOOK LIKE A THING?" he then jumps onto a tree, jumps to another tree besides the man, then pounces onto the man making sure to hold down his sword. there is a quick scuffle while Auron then pins the man looking him dead in the face exposing his fangs.

Kagami quickly stood up, brushing the dirt off of her skirt. She glanced down and saw her whip in pieces at her feet. Now she was pissed. She looked around to find the creature holding down one of the men. She shook her head in confusion and gave the man who knew Auron a bewildered look. A little flattered by the other man calling her a babe, Kagami ran over to assist him, not really knowing how to help. She kicked Auron with the heel of her boot, puncturing his side.

With Aurons grabs the girl with his 2 free hands and starts making a pretzel out of the two pinning them awkwardly to each other..."that was not a very bright idea was it?" he snarls at the girl..

[nickolas]

"Excuse me? DO I LOOK LIKE A THING?"

Suddenly, Nickolas felt the full force of the snake man hit him and knock him to the ground, his lungs emptied of all air. He struggled a little bit, but failed to get back onto his feet.

Then he realized he was staring right into the snake man's face, and gulped at the sight of his fangs. He tried to move his sword arm, and then realized that one of the four arms was holding it down. He groaned.

The woman stood and sent the other man a look before coming over and kicking the snake thing, er, man in the side.

"That was not a very bright idea was it?" the snake man snarled at the woman, holding her with two of his hands.

Hopeful, Nickolas shifted and tried to knee the snake and wriggle out from under him.

"Wait you know that thing? What the hell, man!"

Renkhal sighed. Yep, he was surrounded by idiots, wasn't he?

"It would be best just to attack it, rescue the babe, and get out of here."

He was trying to rescue the "babe," couldn't anyone see that? The first thing to do would be to get Auron convinced she wasn't food. Of course, no one else could think of that, could they?

Renkhal sighed. The young man had a death wish. Creatures just didn't take being belittled like that.

"Excuse me? DO I LOOK LIKE A THING?"

Auron tackled the young man.

Renkhal looked at the young woman to see if he could assist her, but she was already on her feet and glaring at him.

"What the-" he started, but stopped when the woman went to Auron and kicked him in the side. "Oh, brother..."

"That was not a very bright idea was it?" Auron snarled at the girl.

Renkhal silently said, "No, no it wasn't..."

To make matters worse, the boy then tried to get free by kneeing the snake man.

This was getting really ridiculous.

"EVERYONE FREEZE, DAMMIT!!" Renkhal yelled suddenly. "For God's sake, people, don't provoke him! Sheesh! Auron, just let the two go and I'll set some traps for you to have food, okay? Seriously, everyone just calm down and go to the lakeshore!"
