Walking discreetly through the town was harder said than done.
Grasping the hood of her cloak, she pulled it tighter over her head, almost on the brink of blocking her own eye sight. She knew this was a bad idea. Why did she travel into a town?
She kept a grip on her bag and looked around frantically. At least there were no wanted posters here. She gave a sigh in relief. Releasing her hold on the hood, she let it hang there, a small tangle of pink tresses leaking from the protective barrier around her head. The town around her was filled with people. It was hard not to be noticed in such a busy place. But she continued her pace, not turning her head to meet anyone's eye. If they discovered who she was, it would be over for her. Still, she needed to find a way to get some food to travel with. Finding a seller who wasn't biased would be tough.
The dirt roads made her amethyst colored eyes water. Dust and dirt was something she had gotten used to for traveling so long. But once it got into her eye it was difficult to ignore.
Rubbing her eyes, she once again focused on her mission. She had to find someone who would sell her food cheap without being tossed out of town on her rear. She nodded, her face set.
But she quickly learned, that the sellers wouldn't do business with her. It was nearing nightfall and Raine leaned against a wall of a old building. She put a hand on her face, exhausted from running around all day.
"Maybe I should find a Inn or something." she whispered to herself. She pulled the hood down for a brief moment to brush a hand through her tangled pink hair. The light rose color seemed to shimmer in the moonlight, but the twenty year old could only look at her hair in distaste. She put the hood back over her head and started to walk through the streets again.
"Hmm, where are all the Inns anyway in this place?" she asked herself.
That's when she heard a shuffle behind her. The sound of dirt and rocks being slightly shifted. Stopping, she reached into her cloak.
"Who are you?" She demanded, her back still facing the person who had appeared behind her.

James Tekkarro found himself once again in the small village, in the same inn. "The Travelers Desert." Appropriately named, He thought to himself, considering there wasn't a soul around. He sat in the same corner in the same wooden chair, with the same short leg that insisted on annoying him every time he leaned the wrong way. It was on this occasion that the leg finally snapped and gave way. As the innkeeper rushed over to apologize, James calmly stood and brushed the hair form his face and sighed. "I'm going for a walk. Try not to rent my room out to another lodger while I'm gone, eh?" he softly scolded the innkeeper as his face turned red with embarrassment from the last such incident.
James found himself walking the streets, one hand on the hilt of his sword, the other absentmindedly toying with the amulet around his neck. The only thing from his mother he had left that once seemed so trifling a thing was now more precious then ever. James stopped in his tracks as his pointed ears pricked at the sound of a voice not so far away. He was curious so he tracked the person who seemed to be talking amongst themself. He finally came upon a figure shrouded in a cloak. Though it was obviously suspicious, james attempted to not judge by appearances, even though that had gotten him a blade to the throat on more than one occasion. He began walking behind the figure to see if they needed assistance when they sharply snapped at him, and he saw a hand go beneath the cloak. james tightened the grip on his sword, and in a soft voice cold as the northern winds replied. "JAmes Tekkarro, and I mean you no harm. I would feel much more at ease if you removed your hand from your weapon. I simply wished to know if you needed some assistance. You seem lost."

Raine blinked at the voice. She wasn't sure if she should trust the voice, but at least he didn't sound like he was with the demons hunting her. She turned to face him, her cloak revealing long slender legs with black pants covering them, her knee high leather boots and a black shirt. The cloak quickly hid her body as she faced him, purple eyes meeting his own.
She studied him for a second or two, as if trying to figure out his angle. Finally she pulled her hand from her wand.
"Well, I was trying to find the nearest Inn. You don't happen to know where one is do you?" she asked with a slight smile. Absentmindedly she touched her hood, making sure it was still over her hair. It was no use giving this man a fright.

James had only a brief glimpse of the woman's appearance, but it was unique to say the least. But as he stood there in His black leather boots and matching full body black leather armor clinging tight to his skin and trimmed with silver chains and ornaments he couldn't help but laugh at the similarity. He caught her eyes with his own marble eyes almost as cold as his voice and he immediately had the sensation of strong emotion from her. Fear. SOmething was after her. But what? He shook off the feeling and he nodded smirking slightly. "Well if you call two patrons a night an inn then yes I could direct you to a quaint little place where I'm currently lodging. The dark voice in his head scoffed, "If Logan hasn't sold it yet." He ignored the voice and bowed deeply. "I do not believe I caught your name ma'am...may I inquire who I have the honor of escorting this fine night?"
(OOC: Okay this may sound strange but do the words XAUROR or MOLDAVIA mean anything to you?)

(OOC: mmm Nope, why?)
Raine looked at the man, more than his clothes, his aura seemed similar to hers. She shook away the thought and blinked as he bowed to her, asking her name. She averted her eyes at this and thought for a second. "My name? It's Raine. Its a pleasure to meet you, James right?" She asked with a soft smile. She took a step towards him, hands now on her hips as she walked, revealing herself to him once more.
All except her hair. Yet, looking at his unique style she wondered if he would be the kind of guy that would freak out over hair the color of a rose. Still, she was hesitant to fully trust this person. Not until she knew he wasn't a part of the tribe.

(OOC: My Mistake. I checked your original bio. It's just that I used to have a friend with almost the same exact character as you do, name and all. Just brought back some memories is all and I kind of had this hope you were that long lost friend. Sorry to bug you with the foolish inquiry though.)
James continued to try and take in as much of the woman as possible. He sensed nothing malevolent about her or her actions, at least not yet. He rose from the bow and took her hand in his. "Pleasure is all mine. And may I add a very unique name for such a unique person." He smirked as he took one last look at her and began walking down the empty street a few feet before letting go of his sword's hilt and turning around to face her. He smiled, already trusting the stranger. "Well are you coming to the inn or not?"

(OOC: no worries. Sorry I wasn't your friend that is kinda creepy though that we have a similar character hehehe) Raine had no reason for it, but she felt like trusting this man. It was hard for her to explain, considering everything she went through in her life. When he held her hand she tried to hide a blush, and when he called her over she smirked. "Coming!" She walked after him, catching up and matching his pace easily. Together they began to walk to the Inn. "Thanks again, for showing me the way to the Inn, I would have wandered around here all night." She grinned at him and then looked ahead. "Though I shouldn't stay too long." she was still smiling, but somehow the smile had turned sad.

James smiled looking over at Raine and playfully tapped her shoulder. "It's the least i could do for someone in need. I was on a walk anyway, and I wasn't going to leave such a frustrated woman out in the cold." He smirked sarcastically at her. "And if I hadn't you probably would have drawn that weapon on me." He laughed and kept walking. This was a nice change of pace. He forgot how it was to have company, somebody else actually with him. It had been only him and Gilashi for so long. It was a welcome feeling, this warmth of a growing trust, and perhaps a friendship. That is why when Raine mentioned having to leave was like a sudden slap to the face. He slowed down slightly and turned to face her while still walking straight. "Why will you have to leave so soon?"

Raine looked at him, surprised at his reaction. "I..." She started to say, but then tripped over something in the street. She lost her footing and fell to the ground, her hood pulling back to reveal her long pink hair as she fell.
" I can't stay long because I'm not human." She finally answered and smiled at him lightly.

James tried to help her before she fell but he was too late. he scorned hismelf. His reflexes have been dull recently. he marveled at her hair smiling. It was really quite beautiful, like a blooming summer rose. he laughed at her smile and how she seemed to be trying to hide that fact. He outstretched a hand to her to help her up and smirked. "And I'm an elf, but you don't see me trying to cover my ears now do you?" he laughed and smiled warmly at her.

Raine looked up at his hand, finally she took it and let him help her up. "Yeah...But my situation is a lot more complicated than you might think." She tilted her head to one side and shrugged her shoulders. "Well, to be blunt I'm being hunted down. And I know if I stick around for too long and they find me...they won't hesitate to burn this place to the ground to search for me." she closed her eyes and sighed. Thinking about everything was certainly making her uneasy. She quickly put the hood over her head once more. "Besides in this town demons are not treated with kindness." Raine realized she had been talking too much and started to follow him once more towards the Inn. "Ah sorry to burden you with my problems."

James's eyes widened as he helped Raine up and listened to her story, sympathy flooded him. A demon, but so unlike his own. This one seemed so kind, and caring. Gilashi showed nothing but hatred. James hung his head as they began walking again. "You were open about your story so I may be open about mine. I Am the Elven Prince Tekkarro of Glerinel. I am currently hiding away from my duties...after my father died and my brother vanished without a trace I was forced tot ake over the duties at the age of 13...I ran away and I haven't gone back yet." He kept walking as he looked at the sparkling stars in the sky. Glerinel's Spotlights the young elven children called them. He shook his head. "I am also hunted. We are not so different." He began to quicken his pace as his mind began to wander.

A prince?
Raine was amazed that she was in the company of royalty. Shocked, Raine stopped for a second after he spoke, trying to comprehend everything he told her. Then she ran to catch up with him and grasped his hand. "James, wait.." She looked up at him, a smile forming. "Thank you for sharing this with me, really."
"Well, well...this is rather sickening." A voice hissed from behind them. Raine's eyes widened and she spun around to face the demon that stood before her. She drew her wand at pointed it at the pink haired, red eyed demon. He smirked and flicked his hair back. "So this is where you were hiding Laraine. Sad to say your hiding days are over, now its time for you to die."
Raine stood in front of James, arms outstretched and ready to fight. "Stay away Uncle Richard, I don't want to kill you but I will!"
The man known as Richard raised a eyebrow. "Oh? not running little halfbreed? There's a change." he looked behind him. "Kill her, oh and do whatever you want with the elf as well." Ten demons suddenly appeared behind Richard, each one more hideous looking than the next.
"Richard stop he's not involved!" Raine yelled.
"Too bad.." Richard moved his hands and the demons attacked.

James blushed at feeling her hand grab his and he cleared his throat grateful for the dark. BUt he shook his head. "Thats not all...I too have-" He was cut short by the demonic presence nearby. He turned to face another figure, one witht he same hair as Raine, but instead of glowing and beautiful it seemed dark and filthy. He heard how he talked to them and as Raine jumped in front of him, Gilashi laughed darkly in his head. James shook his head as the demon was about to order his attack. His hand clutched his ehad in pain and he gritted his teeth growling. "Raine...get away...now...." he screamed and in the blink of an eye, James faded from consciousness...
Gilashi stood, cracking his neck side to side. HE smiled as he looked down at his body, seeing the increase in height, the black hair now longer and silver like the sharpened steel of a blade. His red eyes burned with the fiercest inferno to even make hell seem frigid. He tore the sleeves from the top of the black leather armor, and tore open the collar deep down the chest. "Damn kid never wears anything fashionable." he said, the voice no longer of James but that of glass and stones smashing against eachother, deep and musical, yet threatening and sharp. He felt a weaker demonic presence behind him, but he didn't even turn to look. His eyes were on th morons in front of him. He laughed loudly, taking the sword from his sheath, what used to be a holy and bejeweled sword was now pitch black with but a single red glowing gem in the hilt. Gilashi twirled it as he brought his left hand back. "Oh, the kiddies wanna play? Well good. Its been a while since I had control of this meat-puppet." As the demons attacked, Gilashi effortlessly sliced each and every one of them clean through, sometimes severing limbs only to impale the demon with its own arm. As he finished off the last one he grabbed the severed head and laughed. "Damn, a face even mama couldn't love." He punted the head down the street and stood there laughing, dripping in blood, the glow in his eyes stronger then ever as he beckoned to the pink haired one. "Come on pretty boy...Let's dance!" He laughed hystericaqlly once more, licking the blood form his fingers.

Raine's eyes widened as James transformed. Startled, she stumbled back and fell on her back. She sat back up and stared as this creature tore apart the monsters.
A demon...
Raine put a hand over her mouth as she realized that he was no longer James.
Richard stared at the person before him, eyes narrowed. "I think today I will make a hasty retreat. But you, a fellow demon like us is foolish to oppose us. If you don't wish to die kill the halfbreed behind you. We will meet again.." he smirked and slammed his fist into the earth. Suddenly spikes of iron surrounded James' body and Richard made his escape, vanishing in a red light.
"Who...are you?" Raine asked from behind him.
