Serenity stayed up for 10 minutes after Laan had drifted off. The sky was pitch black and the stars looked like golden orbs. Her blonde hair was away from her face and her green eyes were gazing into nothingness. She yawned and stretched.
Before she knew it, she was asleep. Somehow during the night, her head had fell to gently rest on Laan's shoulders.

The sun could be seen in the distance. The birds were singing their early morning songs and flying around. He felt a weight on his shoulder and looked over to see Serenity on it. He didn't want to move at all in the fear of waking her. He just sat there until she would wake up on her own.

Serenity slowly opened her eyes to see that it was daylight. She raised her head and looked around. Laan was sitting beside her. She hadn't realized she had fell asleep on him. She blushed at the thought and got up. Her bruises didn't hurt as much so she didn't walk with a limp. She picked up her weapons and straightened her hair out.
Finally she turned to Laan, "Ready to go?"
