Dark Magic

[serenity]

Serenity held her shoulder which had a black bruise plastered on it. She had healing powers but she didn't want to use her magic. To her, it was just a closer step to becoming like her mother, which was the last thing she wanted. Her mother had given her the bruise on her shoulder, her side, and her leg, and her neck. She pushed her out of the city using dark magic.
Her mother had planned to kill her but it hadn't work. She picked up a canister of water that she had gotten from the lake and poured some water on her shoulder as if to clean the wound. She groaned in pain.
She wiped a stray hair from her head and closed her eyes as she deeply breathed in an effort to lessen the pain.
'One day, they will pay,' she thought to herself.

[Cadmus Caliva]

Cadmus was out by the lake watching the villages from a distance. He wandered when he could make his move and steal a nights worth of food. Out by the lake he could see that a girl was wounded part human by the looks of it.

He could also since a strong magical aurora. This was a person that he didn't want to provoke. He decided he would try to stay away a from her and not get her attention.

Serenity mixed up some herbs that she had found from around the lake. She ripped off a piece of cloth from her gown and dabbed the mixture onto it. She pressed it against her bruised shoulder. She yelped in pain. She looked the bruises on her body and a tear flowed down her cheek.
She stood up and fell back down. Her dress didn't do well to hide the bruise on her leg since It only came an inch above her knee. Her other bruises were just as visible. She felt eyes on her. She looked around and apotted a man by the lake. Her green eyes studied him for a moment and then turned back to her bruises.

Cadmus looked over and watched as the girl pulled some herbs around the lake. He also watched when she fell back down, something told him he should help her. Was he slowly becoming soft. He walked over to the girl and looked around. First he wanted to make sure no one he knew in this place was around. He didn't want to be seen as soft.

"Do you need some help?" He asked his voice almost a whisper.

Serenity looked at him wiped the tears from her cheeks.
She looked back down, "No."
It was almost in a harsh tone. She pressed the herbs to the bruise on her neck and yelped in pain again.
'Today is not my day,' she thought.
She pulled her dirty blonde hair out of its clip and let it fall neatly upon her shoulder in an effort to hide the bruise on her neck and her shoulder. There was no way she could hide the bruise on her leg. The bruise on her side was visible also since her gown was ripped in that very spot.
She sighed and made an effort to stand up but just gave up.

Cadmus just shrugged and watched her attempts to stand on her own. She was a very stubborn person and deeply wounded. He just smiled.

"Alright Suit yourself."

[serenity]

Serenity just looked at him for a moment. She sighed. She hated using magic but he was in pain. She sighed deeply and closed her eyes. She glowed a light blue and the pain subsided just a little. She was finally able to stand up on her on but she had a limp.
She looked at and her head tilted to the side, "I told you I didn't need any help."
She slowly walked over her weapons. She placed her sword in a strap on her dress, her daggers on either side of her, and her bow and arrow on her back.
She turned around to look at the man before her, "What is your name?"

Cadmus watched as she healed herself with magic. She walked over to her weapons and picked them up. Cadmus sighed he was really hoping to avoid something like this.

"Cadmus." He said.

He let his hand slide to his back and gripped his sword just in case. If he had to fight he would although against a sorceress he had no chance. He was just going to have to wing the fight if he was going to get into one until he could escape.

Serenity merely laughed, "Well, Cadmus, the last thing I want to do is fight you. Look at me, do I honestly look like I'm in the mood for a fight?"
She stood looked away for a moment, "I know what you're thinking. However, I'm a sorceress. Yes, I could be but I don't like magic. I'm a warrior."
She walked over to the lake and looked out at the villagers.
She sighed deeply and turned to face him. Her green eyes shone in the sunlight, "My name is Serenity."

Cadmus let his hand fall back down to his side. She clamied not to like magic and not to want to use magic. But magic was addivtive sooner or later everyone that can well use it.

"Hello Serenity." He said.

He got the strange felling of being watched. Not form normal eyes though it was something magical. He went into his pocket and pulled out a small stone. He whispered a few words that would block him from magic eyes. The stone he got from a shop long ago.

Serenity saw him whisper into the stoine. She knew very well what it was.
She looked at him, "Trying to hide from someone? You look like a theif."
She didn't even crack a smile at this; she was dead serious. He gave off the appearance of a theif. She sighed and put her hair back in its clip. She didn't like it down.
Only a few small strands fell loose. Her bruises were visibly and they still hurt but she pretended not to care or notice.

[Cadmus Caliva]

"Yes....But i don't know who from." He said. "And im not a thief...all the way."

He was starting to wander who it was that was looking for him. He pushed the thought away and focused on the girl.

"So what brings you to a place like this.

[serenity]

Serenity sighed, "The less you know....the better."
She managed a smile.
"Besides, if you knew why I was here, you'd also find out where I got these."
She pointed to the bruises on her neck, shoulder, side, and leg."
"And why I prefer not to use dark magic."

[laan]

Laan appeared in a cloud of smoke behind Cadmus. He had finally found him after all these years. Laan's right had started to glow a bright blue and white color and sparks where flying off of it. He sent the charge at Cadmus's back in hopes of paralyzing him just for a bit.

"Cadmus." Was the only thing he said.

It was about time he would have his revenge. He would kill Cadmus today or do something else.

Cadmus dodged the charge of energy at the very last second. He turned to see Laan, this wasn't good he was going to have to get away. He pulled out his sword he was going to have to escape. He looked to the girl, could he use her in is plan to escape.

He walked up behind the girl and at the last second changed his mind. He made a run for it and didn't stop for anything in the world. He made his escape into a near by village. How had Laan mange to find him though.
